The "bonus" worth 50,00USD – a quite desirable sum of money for Billy. He is eager to make a deal and manages to gather facts of Mrs Hostetler adultery in very timely manner. However, an easy task turns out be even worse nightmare then troubles that left him stripped of badge.

Rory decides to publish this novel as his own thanks to the fact the manuscript was not signed by author. Years later, basking in the rays of glory, he meets The Old Man, who apparently turns to be the novel's creator. From that moment Rory gradually understands what price he has to pay for his false success.
