"Behind the Candelabra" is a 2013 biographical drama film directed by Steven Soderbergh and based on the life of renowned pianist Liberace. The movie focuses on Liberace's relationship with his younger lover Scott Thorson, and the ups and downs of their turbulent romance. The film stars Michael Douglas as Liberace, with Matt Damon playing Thorson.

Jane is first abused, both physically and emotionally, by cousins and aunts while residing at Gateshead. School days at Lowood find her acquiring friends although she misses out on a lot of her youth. Later Jane becomes a governess at Thornfield Hall where she falls in love with Edward Rochester, her employer.ane Eyre was written as a first person type story so is somewhat an autobiography with darkness and social criticism. It does make a good "read" however, as there is a strong sense of morality in this young woman in spite of all she's been through in her lifetime.

Poor Things (2023) is Yorgos Lanthimos's darkly comic fantasy film starring Emma Stone as Bella Baxter, a woman reborn who discovers the world and herself in a surreal Victorian adventure.

Enter the Void movie features an awesome special cinematographic experiment. From the start of the film we are looking at the world through the eyes of its protagonist Oscar (Nathaniel Brown). When he blinks, the picture disappears. His thoughts, we hear his voice-overs. The story begins in a small, cramped Tokyo apartment. The balcony shows us a view at the busy street. A bright sign «ENTER» is on the other side of the road. Oscar calls Linda (his sister) and pointing to a flying airplane in the sky, said that he would like to see Tokyo from a height. She replied that she would be scared. He asks her: "What are you afraid?". She says: "Death, I suppose. Falling into the void. " Then the hero picks up a book and we see the Tibetan Book of the Dead closeup. He says he gave it to honor his friend Alex. His sister is skeptical, calling him "upright". Then she says goodbye and leaves. Left alone, Oscar takes a dose of DMT. The next five minutes we are enjoying special effects, revealing the visions of the hero. Of the trip he takes a phone call. His friend Victor calls. He wants Oscar to bring him his stuff and says that awaits him at the Void title bar. Oscar hardly wakes up and there suddenly comes Alex. The meantime, he asked about the Book of the Dead, to which Oscar replied that he reads it and likes. Alex in the conversation makes it clear that he likes the sister of Oscar. They leave the apartment and sent into the Void. On the way Alex tells Oscar his own version of the Tibetan Book of the Dead story. Then he advises Oscar to stop selling drugs and get a job. When they are reached the Void title sign, Alex refuses to enter there and promises to wait for an Oscar in the street. The attempt to sell the drugs to Victor ends with Oscar's death, but we are still looking thru his eyes… and there movie begins.

The original fairy tale story titled Little Red Riding Hood was a cautionary tale filled with darkness and scary wolves but seemed mild compared to this up-dated version. Produced by Leonardo DiCaprio and with a stellar cast including: Amanda Seyfried (Big Love, Mama Mia), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight, Planet 51), Julie Christie (Glorious 39, Finding Neverland) and Billy Burke (Twilight, Fringe). Valerie is our Red Riding Hood who lives in a medieval village where a werewolf stalks its prey. She falls in love with a woodcutter who is beneath her as far as her parents are concerned. They had planned on her marrying into wealth and comfort with Henry (Max Irons) but she defies them. "When Valerie's sister is killed by the werewolf the town asks a famous "werewolf hunter" (Oldman) in to destroy the monster they've feared for decades. How can this beast be found when it takes on human form in daylight and could be among them at any time? Now the death toll will rise with each passing full moon."

The film follows a fictional television network, UBS, and its struggling news division, as they try to boost their ratings by any means necessary.
