A journalist is on the hunt for a missing woman. Apparently she's been missing for forty years and now Mikael Blomkvist is trying to play detective and find out what happened to her. He is aided by a young female computer hacker named Lisbeth Salander. It may take modern computer based sleuthing to find the answer to this 40 year old mystery. Blomkvist is trying to write a novel about a powerful family saga and he, along with his assistant soon get entangled in the underworld while doing their research.he journalist turned detective, Mikael Blomkvist is ably played by Daniel Craig from Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale. he assistant, Lizbeth Salander is portrayed by Rooney Mara from The Social Network, Tanner Hall. oran Visnjic (The Deep, ER) plays Dragon Armansky.eteran actor Christopher Plummer is Henrik Vanger.he book was set in Sweden but this theatrical version seems to be "homeless" although it appears to be based in the UK due to the many British characters appearing in the film. Wherever, it is a dark movie that is deliciously filled with suspense, intrigue, and sterling quality performances.

Writer-director Mike Mills put all his heart and art into Beginners, a powerful, poignant autobiographical film that shows "Oliver," Mills' fictional avatar, coming to terms with his seventy-five year old father's simultaneous revelations (a) that he is gay, and (b) that he has a terminal disease. Beginners premiered at The Toronto International Film Festival, where it earned rave reviews—not the cliché kind of raves, but genuinely exuberant, effusive exclamations of praise and delight. Beginners is scheduled to hit theaters during the summer, 2011, when it can provide welcome relief from ripped-from-the-comics fare."Ewan McGregor stars as Oliver, and Christopher Plummer stars as Hal, Oliver's "tumultuously gay" father. No strangers to intense drama, ribald comedy, or brilliant performances, both McGregor and Plummer show, as The Los Angeles Times said, "a strong sense of responsibility to their real-world counterparts." Enter the Void movie features an awesome special cinematographic experiment. From the start of the film we are looking at the world through the eyes of its protagonist Oscar (Nathaniel Brown). When he blinks, the picture disappears. His thoughts, we hear his voice-overs. The story begins in a small, cramped Tokyo apartment. The balcony shows us a view at the busy street. A bright sign «ENTER» is on the other side of the road. Oscar calls Linda (his sister) and pointing to a flying airplane in the sky, said that he would like to see Tokyo from a height. She replied that she would be scared. He asks her: "What are you afraid?". She says: "Death, I suppose. Falling into the void. " Then the hero picks up a book and we see the Tibetan Book of the Dead closeup. He says he gave it to honor his friend Alex. His sister is skeptical, calling him "upright". Then she says goodbye and leaves. Left alone, Oscar takes a dose of DMT. The next five minutes we are enjoying special effects, revealing the visions of the hero. Of the trip he takes a phone call. His friend Victor calls. He wants Oscar to bring him his stuff and says that awaits him at the Void title bar. Oscar hardly wakes up and there suddenly comes Alex. The meantime, he asked about the Book of the Dead, to which Oscar replied that he reads it and likes. Alex in the conversation makes it clear that he likes the sister of Oscar. They leave the apartment and sent into the Void. On the way Alex tells Oscar his own version of the Tibetan Book of the Dead story. Then he advises Oscar to stop selling drugs and get a job. When they are reached the Void title sign, Alex refuses to enter there and promises to wait for an Oscar in the street. The attempt to sell the drugs to Victor ends with Oscar's death, but we are still looking thru his eyes… and there movie begins.

Brothers is a film of halftones, notes on the margins, where the beauty is in the Details. But, like many other such intricate work, the film seemed not over: cut off in mid-sentence. The brothers conflict ends with the simple phrase. Sam's internal conflict, the break of conscience after capture in Afghanistan is just honesty. From this point of view Brothers are perceived only a demonstration of acting, the spectacular, of course, but still remaining essentially "the casting". Psychological observations, the reliability of the details and fine texture of the characters are the wonderful elements of the movie, but really outstanding masterpieces are crowned with the point, not the dots.

The American is a contemplative movie, yet unhurried and relaxed. Anton Korbeyn, who previously filmed only music videos, directed the movie ideally for the Clooney manner of playing. And that he succeeded. "Perhaps the director's fascination with photography was reflected in the "The American". The film is filled with static plans, where the sound is not important. In terms of speech: it is composed of multicolored mosaic of Italian and English, and the latter felt quite out of place, as the killer himself is an American lost somewhere in Italy in a small quiet town. Minor characters are also transmitted perfectly. There are two faces: a prostitute fallen in a true love, and a priest with a dark spot in his heart, that's a circle of acquaintances of the person cannot make friends. "The only thing that stands out from the track is the ending. During the movie could be the same hope for happy ending, or wait for the sad ending, and the result is an incomprehensible jumble. "But "The American" is an excellent movie, which in case you want to look for a second time, did not enjoy the story, or tricks with the shooting, and a serene image with an already old Clooney as the central figure. And in general, it is recommended to all the fans of the actor, as well as connoisseurs of European cinema.
