Blomkvist is trying to write a novel about a powerful family saga and he, along with his assistant soon get entangled in the underworld while doing their research.he journalist turned detective, Mikael Blomkvist is ably played by Daniel Craig from Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale. he assistant, Lizbeth Salander is portrayed by Rooney Mara from The Social Network, Tanner Hall. oran Visnjic (The Deep, ER) plays Dragon Armansky.eteran actor Christopher Plummer is Henrik Vanger.he book was set in Sweden but this theatrical version seems to be "homeless" although it appears to be based in the UK due to the many British characters appearing in the film. Wherever, it is a dark movie that is deliciously filled with suspense, intrigue, and sterling quality performances.
