Devil traps five strangers inside a Philadelphia office-tower elevator after an apparently routine malfunction. As unexplained injuries and deaths reduce the group, Detective Bowden tries to identify what is happening from outside the car. Chris Messina plays Bowden, with Logan Marshall-Green, Geoffrey Arend, Bojana Novakovic and Jenny O’Hara portraying the principal elevator occupants.
John Erick Dowdle directed Brian Nelson’s screenplay from a story by M. Night Shyamalan, who produced with Sam Mercer. AFI records Los Angeles and New York openings on September 17, 2010, an 80-minute runtime and a PG-13 rating.
