Total Recall of 2012 is the good news for those who read the "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale", the book written by the drug addicted writer Philip K. Dick and liked it. Why? Because it's much more close to the original than the same name movie released in 1990 which remake the new Total Recall is supposed to be. That is way it's more correct to call this Recall the new version, not the remake: we will not see any flights to Mars here. But more action packed scenes are guaranteed, thanks to the Len Wiseman who previously directed the Underworld trilogy and Live Free or Die Hard. The story begins in New Asia, the city in fascist far future where two superstates fights to take control over the Earth: Euroamerica and New Shanghai. The average worker Douglas Quaida (Colin Farrell) awakes in his bed and realizes that he is a spy. But which side he serves? He has no idea. The only link to recall his memory is the young prostitute Melina played by Jessica Biel (New Year's Eve, Playing the Field, The Tall Man). But it seems like she is not just "fille de joie". Very soon it becomes clear that she is a major part of rebel union teamed to change the political system in Euroamerica and aimed to destroy the main antagonist Vilos Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston) the President of the corrupted government of Euroamerica.

As a fifteen year old alien John Smith (from the planet Lorien) finds himself a fugitive fleeing dangerous enemies from the planet Mogadorian, a different race of aliens. "I am Number Four" is John's secret. But it's a lot to ask of such a young man and along with his guardian Henri (played by Timothy Olyphant) must keep on the run, moving from town to town. Music from Rockwell helps the suspense remain high as we hear "Somebody's Watching Me" play in the background. John Smith finds he has certain powers and that he is not the only teenage alien around the planet Earth. There were a total of eight and they were destined to die in order and one at a time. Now it is Smith's turn. I am number four is about deadly encounters and youthful desires as John Smith finds romance in Paradise, Ohio. But he cannot be "normal" because he is constantly being chased and is next in line to be eliminated. With companion and guardian Henri's help John finds his ability is growing and just maybe he can fight off the powerful forces that are after him.

The trailer-teasers for Super 8 inspire millions more questions than they answer, but they do give lots of proof the "old Spielberg magic" is on the comeback trail. Super 8's characters, suspense, and imagery strongly remind veteran dreamworkers of ET and Jurassic Park—strangely scary yet still kid-friendly. For all that they tantalize, though, the Super 8 trailers preserve the film's secrets. The State Department and CIA should study in the J.J. Abrams School of Secret-Keeping; even the WikiLeaks guys would struggle to dig up much more than the trailer's suggestion that a bunch of cute and cool kids have to deal with an "unknown incredible creature." All we really know is that, in the small Ohio town, just about everything that can blow up will blow up. Oh yeah, and we know the kids will film everything on their super-8 movie camera."Super 8 may go into Hollywood history as the movie with sibling rivalry in the sub-text. Elle Fanning, Dakota's younger sister, and Amanda Michalka, Allyson's sister, come out of the big kids' shadows and into their own, proving they have talent and skills. The big kids should feel very afraid. Gabriel Basso, the one child star without famous siblings but who may be a direct descendant of Tom Sawyer, continues the tradition of impish, resourceful Spielberg boy-heroes. Kyle Chandler, uber-dad from "Friday Night Lights," brings that same manly command to Super 8, reassuring everyone that everything will be okay.

Jupiter Ascending is a 2015 science fiction film directed by Lana and Andy Wachowski. The film was plagued by production problems which delayed its release for nearly a year. The film stars Mila Kunis as Jupiter Jones, a woman working a dead-end job cleaning other peoples' houses. As it turns out, though, there is more to Jupiter's life than she could possibly imagine; when Caine Wise (Channing Tatum), an ex-military hunter arrives on earth to track her down, Jupiter discovers that she is genetically marked as the next in line for an astounding inheritance. Her actions from this point forward could change not only her own destiny, but the entire balance of power in the galaxy. The movie received mixed to negative reviews from critics, who praised the beautiful visuals featured in the film, but who derided clunky narrative storytelling. Fans of Terry Gilliam will be amused to know that the director of Brazil makes an appearance in a scene made to resemble his classic film.

One of the major delights of the 2012 movie is an epic picture of the destruction of the solid earth, when thousands of people scattered in panic from the falling down of skyscrapers, where the oceans come from the coast, and lava avalanches sweep out the cities and countries. In 2012, the apocalypse comes at its best; Emmerich tried hard to give a picture of the destruction of the giant swing, and the fact he succeeded. The visual side of the movie is flawless. But the dramatic side sometimes fails in the illogic, strained and unnecessary confusion. Too complicated scenario building only distract from the excellent graphic component that unfolds in the 2012.

It's a third appearance of Chris Hemsworth as mighty Thor after Kenneth Branagh's Thor filmed in 2011 and Joss Whedon's The Avengers filmed in 2012. The story of Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World is a direct sequel of the first movie and it takes place just year after the events of The Avengers. Now Thor stands against the ancient evil embodied in Malekith and his henchmen. This concentrated evil existed even before the history of our Galaxy has began. And there are no forces neither in Asgard nor on Earth to withstand them. Once again the destiny of the whole world is in Thor's hands. Once again he has to come back to Earth and fight with Malekith. When he meets his passion, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), his quest becomes more complicated – to rescue his love interest and save both Earth and Asgard. As for ensemble cast it's quite clear that previous movies successes inspired producers to inflate the budget significantly, besides the actors which were starring in the first movie Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins there some new Hollywood stars: Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who, Heroes, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The Thing, Killer Elite, Faster), Zachary Levi (Stuntmen, Shades of Ray), and Tadanobu Asano (Battleship, 47 Ronin).
