"2001: A Space Odyssey" is a science fiction film directed by Stanley Kubrick, based on a short story by Arthur C. Clarke. The film is a journey through human evolution and technology, following a mysterious black monolith that appears at critical points in human history. The movie is divided into four parts and features minimal dialogue, relying instead on the visuals and music to convey the story.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader movie was released in 2010, the year of "Ironman 2," "Harry Potter 7", and "Tron: Legacy". So, the producers and director of "Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader" clearly felt the pressure to deliver a visual masterpiece. Capitalizing on the special alchemy of 3D, they succeeded. "A painting engulfs Lucy and Edmund Pevensie and their cousin Eustace, taking them back to Narnia and stowing them away on sailing ship The Dawn Treader. The brave and somewhat precocious warriors battle a fierce collection of monsters and villains, resisting their own powerful temptations, as they join forces with Reepicheep, a warrior mouse, to save Narnia. The computer animators do so well with the Lion, the Mouse, and the fairy princess, viewers willingly suspend disbelief. Of course, a mouse can out-maneuver a chimera."The producers and director paid proper respect to C.S. Lewis, early twentieth century author and scholar, who penned the novel The Voyage of the Dawn Treader as one among his Chronicles of Narnia. Lewis, a leading authority on medieval quest romance, crafted his story according to the traditions and conventions of the hero's quest, and the movie wisely recreates his craftsmanship. The film-makers achieve an unlikely hybrid of medieval story and twenty-first century imagery. They left open the question, however: Would audiences overdosed on 3D graphics and epic adventures fill the seats for another one?

Terminator Genisys is the fifth installment in the Terminator series, set in the year 2029. John Connor is currently fighting the machines as leader of the Resistance, when he is notified that Skynet will attack him in the past as well as the future. He sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back in time to save his mother, Sarah Connor (this was the premise for the first Terminator movie), but the past has changed, diverging from the plot of the original film. In this new altered reality, Sarah Connor was orphaned at age nine by a T-800 sent to kill her, and has been raised by another T-800 model which has been programmed to protect and train her to meet her destiny. The film is set to act as prequel, sequel and reboot for the series, and once again stars Arnold Schwarzenegger in his titular role, supported by Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, Matt Smith, Lee Byung-hun and J.K. Simmons

Do not misread the connotations in the title X-Men: First Class. "First class" is a phrase which here does not mean "the best, the finest, the most luxurious," nor does it signify "the part of the plane with complimentary cocktails and room to stretch out." Take the phrase literally. In strangely oxymoronic style, the studio's promotional materials claim X-Men: First Class "charts the epic beginning (sic) of the X-Men saga," the first group of students to graduate from Professor X's school for reluctant super-heroes. "Who knew an "epic beginning" was possible? In their salad days, Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, ultimately sworn mortal enemies, were the best of buds, experimenting with and testing their newly discovered powers, preparing to join other Mutants to prevent Armageddon. X-Men: First Class documents their nasty break-up. They could not be "just friends.""Although the men allegedly star in X-Men: First Class, the so-called "supporting actresses" threaten to steal the show. January Jones of "Madmen" fame plays Emma Frost, villainesse supreme, co-conspirator with Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, criminal mastermind. More notably, Jennifer Lawrence—yes that Jennifer Lawrence, low-keyed "It Girl" from Winter's Bone and the Oscars' red carpet—plays Mystique, aka Raven Darkholme, shape-shifting mutant. By film's end, girl power may trump super-powers.

"The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" is a fantasy movie based on the novel of the same name by J.R.R. Tolkien. It was released in 2001 and directed by Peter Jackson. The movie follows the journey of Frodo Baggins, a hobbit who inherits a powerful ring that was created by the evil lord Sauron. Frodo sets out on a quest to destroy the ring and stop Sauron from taking over the world.

The destiny of both of the world now depends of his fight with Elysium's mayor Secretary Jessica Delacourt. His name is Max Da Costa. Elysium's director Neill Blomkamp managed to gather a brilliant ensemble cast to turn an ordinary sci-fi movie to an extraordinary one: Matt Damon (True Grit, Invictus, The Informant!) stars as Max Da Costa, while Jodie Foster (Carnage, The Brave One, Panic Room) acts as main antagonist Jessica Delacourt.
