Fox 5 WTTG or Fox 5 DC is the Washington, DC based and Fox operated TV channel launched in May 19, 1945 as W3XWT, a second experimental TV station in USA. On May 15, 2006 WTTG started FOX 5 Live newscast on a new website myfoxdc.com. Full HD signal appeared on WTTG on June 12, 2009. Now Fox 5 WTTG airs a 45 hours of local news per week that is standard for Fox TV channels with two and three hours on weekends accordingly. It also provides special reports of major sport events on Saturday and Sunday 5 p.m. and at this time newscasts may be delayed. Fox 5 Morning news opens day on WTTG on 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. (replaced by Fox News Sunday With Chris Wallace on Sundays) followed by various entertainment programming like: Wendy Williams Show, Dr. Phil, Judge Alex, Judge Jeanine Pirro and Judge Joe Brown (replaced by Super Bowl Pregame and Road to the Super Bowl on Sundays). At 5 p.m. you can watch Fox 5 News @ 5 on WTTG followed by perfectly selected list of top-rated TV shows like: American Idol, Fringe, Kitchen Nightmares, Bones, Million Dollar Money Drop, Lie to Me and Human Target. The day is closed by two news programs Fox 5 News & Ten and Fox 5 News & Eleven at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. accordingly. (replaced by Super Bowl Postgame on Sundays).
