CBeebies is the BBC’s television service for preschool children, designed to educate and entertain its youngest audience. The official BBC service list describes programming for very young children, while BBC listings identify the channel as aimed at under-sixes. Its daytime schedule mixes animation, live action, stories, songs, play and age-appropriate factual or learning programmes.
Families in the UK can watch the live channel and find many episodes on BBC iPlayer, subject to each programme’s rights and availability window. BBC iPlayer generally requires sign-in with a BBC account; watching or downloading BBC programmes there also requires a valid TV Licence. BBC rules do not permit streaming or downloading iPlayer television programmes outside the UK.
