The View is a daytime talk show that first aired in 1997 on ABC. The show features a panel of women who discuss current events, politics, entertainment, and other topics of interest. The original panel included Barbara Walters, Meredith Vieira, Star Jones, Debbie Matenopoulos, and Joy Behar. Since then, the panel has changed many times, with current hosts including Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Ana Navarro.

"Top Gear" is a British TV show that began in 2002 and focuses on reviewing cars and other vehicles. It started with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and Jason Dawe as hosts, but James May replaced Dawe after the first season. The show also features a mysterious test driver named "The Stig," played by various racing drivers over the years.

Not exactly on the cutting edge of "reality" programming, "If I Can Dream" nevertheless pushes the technological envelope as it works to make the real-life dramas imitate life as accurately as possible. The show still has potential to become "The Jersey Shore" with class and brains. In March, 2010, "If I Can Dream" debuted, showing specially chosen contestants pursuing their artistic, musical, dramatic, athletic, and creative gifts dreams, pushing themselves to break into the big time in their fields. In order to gain admission to the show's Hollywood, California home, contestants had to satisfy producers they really had legitimate shots at making their dreams come true. MySpace, PepsiCo, and Ford invested heavily in the project, gambling that it would revolutionize broadcasting by making optimum use of internet technology. At first, weekly episodes of "If I Can Dream" aired exclusively on Hulu. According to its website, "The "˜If I Can Dream' House is wired with 56 AXIS Q1755 H.264 cameras delivering content across 3 CDNs. Video feeds are available at both 500 Kbps and 1 Mbps. As designed, "˜If I Can Dream' will be the largest persistent live "˜event' produced by a media company."

Arguably television's first monster hit in the reality genre, another British import that found its proper home in America, a cultural phenomenon in its first two years, "Survivor" may have evolved into a cruel double entendre: After a decade on the air, "Survivor" describes not only the cast's situation but also the show's stubborn capacity for hanging on to its place in the CBS line-up by the slimmest of slim threads. "Survivor" is the MySpace of its niche: Do people still go there? Dropped into exotic wilderness settings"”places where their handhelds get absolutely no bars"”contestants vie for cash and prizes. The last survivor goes home with a cool million American dollars. As the physical, psychological, emotional, and intellectual trials and tests develop, contestants vote one another out of the competition. For the first half of each season, would-be survivors compete in teams; in the second half, they go solo in a full-on destruction derby. Observant viewers discern "Survivor" depends more on workplace treachery than anything anyone might have learned in Boy Scouts or Campfire Girls. Tribes, challenges, alliances, and immunities prove the wilderness differs very little from everyday life in major American corporations"”except the dress code encourages fashionable swimwear.

"Forged in Fire" is a reality television show that airs on the History Channel. The show features four bladesmiths who compete against each other in three rounds of challenges to create a variety of bladed weapons, including swords, knives, and axes. Each round presents a unique set of challenges that test the bladesmiths' skills and creativity. The winner of each round then moves on to the final round, where they have five days to create a historic weapon from scratch.

What happens if you hybridize The Amazing Race and Top Chef? There are two possible answers: "nothing good" and "Around The World in 80 Plates". And you know, both of them are true. But, please, don't get us wrong. It's not just another Bravo's disastrous TV show; it's just a cooking reality show, which is not about the cooking. How is it possible? With ease, here we have to lift the curtain off the series' plot. First of all, you have to imagine three clueless chefs walking down the streets of London, doing the classic "pub crawl" and pretending the "drunk Americans". It's pathetic scene, you know. But who are those unfortunate souls? Meet Keven Lee, or how he calls himself Cheven (mix of Chef and Kevin). He represents one of the endangered species of Hollywood private chefs. The next one is Chazz, his real name Chaz Brown from Voorhees, New Jersey, who is repeatedly semi-shocking us with his British accent, that's why it would be better if he kept silence all the show long. Our list would not be completed if we haven't mentioned the Tex-Mex half-naked chief Sai Pituk from Texas, who surprisingly said the she cooks Asian cuisine only. There are another nine contestants participating, that makes total twelve. The television show is divided into two parts. In the first part all of the participants are performing something like scavenger hunt in the uncommon environment of foreign culinary culture (you have to ideate the picture of dozen Americans wander the rows of Borough market; it's must be funny, isn't it?). In the second part of each episode the contestants have to cook (finally!) the local dishes which their tasted in the first part, and as a bisque, the winning team (those who won the "scavenger hunt") gets one secret ingredient, which will be in great help in the "cooking" part. That is most amusing part of the "Around The World in 80 Plates" because judges are the locals, and you should see their faces when they taste black pudding hash cooked by Americans.
