Young people from all over need help with their weight problems and some are really compelling to hear. Most are well over two hundred pounds and have been overweight for many years. Being heavy is not only psychologically difficult it is also extremely bad for anyone's health, especially young children and teenagers. They need support from friends and family but also a clear cut plan to lose weight that will actually work for them. Diabetes and heart problems are among the most common illnesses to befall those who weigh more than average but in the case of teenagers there are issues of self esteem and the need to socialize with their peers involved, making it a vital issue faced by many younger people. While reality TV programs like "I used to be fat" on MTV may not solve all their problems, teenagers can gain self confidence by seeing it work for others if they follow advice, may work for them as well.

For one thing the show has its own group of "party hard" individuals who live together in an upscale house, share bedrooms, and each as their own reasons to be there. The Geordie Shore show is a British based program coming from the UK and having decidedly British points of view. The filming of Geordie Shore has been stated to be bordering pornographic due to bare breasts, six packs, fights, and simulated fellatio. Each of these vain individuals have their own reasons to submit to "reality" television. Holly states she is the most realistic "fake" person there is and her size double F chest (paid for by her mom) is a testament to that. Then there is Jay who loves himself too much to get involved with a female on the Geordie Shore show. His idea of a relationship is about him and his workouts at the gym. James, who is only 20, must check himself out each time he passes a mirror. Sophie likes to flash her "boobs" while dancing on table tops. Quite an interesting group!

Jersey Shore TV Show is a reality show based in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. It follows eight young men and women that come to a popular vacation place to live, work and play. In a quote from season one of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she sounded a bit selfish when she said "It may look like I have it all, but I want more!" Her husband, Russell, was a venture capitalist and they were both heavily involved in philanthropy. Other returning members include Lisa Vanderpump, married to Ken Todd for the past 29 years and is now turned 50 years old (making her oldest housewife on the program). Owners of 26 restaurants, Lisa and Ken have both appeared on other TV programs such as Baywatch Nights and Silk Stalkings. Born and raised in Albuquerque Adrienne Maloof-Nassif was the daughter of a Coors distributor and later married cosmetic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif, now residing in Beverly Hills, California. Kim Richards and her sister Kyle Richards are aunts of Paris and Nicky Hilton through their sister Kathy and have had some experience in acting. They are both married and residing in Beverly Hills.

Naked and Afraid is a television reality show that airs on the Discovery Channel. It premiered in 2013 and has been running for over ten seasons. The show follows two strangers, a man, and a woman, who are dropped off in a remote wilderness location without any clothes or supplies. The goal is for them to survive for 21 days, relying solely on their survival skills and the natural resources around them.
