The teenage years are especially painful and just downright awkward for most of us. This new teen comedy drama about surviving those high school years stars Ashley Rickards from One Tree Hill fame as Jenna Hamilton. Jenna unfortunately becomes somewhat of a celebrity when word gets out that she attempted suicide. It was merely an accident that went wrong but soon her contemporaries at school think she's somewhat of a celebrity. Jenna also tries to conceal her romance with a popular boy, faces off with a "mean girl", and has parents that just don't remember how tough it was being a teen. The program is contemporary and unique as it displays just how difficult it is to cope with life's changing aspects while going through puberty and finding romance that does more harm than good (for the first time). It's rough enough just growing up but being female besides makes life even more awkward and unpredictable.

"Flight of the Conchords" is a television series that aired on HBO from 2007 to 2009. The show follows the lives of two New Zealand musicians, Jemaine and Bret, as they try to make it in the music industry in New York City. The show combines elements of comedy and music, as Jemaine and Bret frequently break into song during the episodes.

DreamWorks TV and producer Steven Spielberg are hoping their latest entry into prime time television lives up to its name. Smash is about the making of a Broadway musical play which involves the life of Marilyn Monroe. But personal conflicts among the cast members prove to be difficult to work with as they deal with the everyday demands of theater life and this musical in particular. Debra Messing stars as Julia Houston who is the co-writer as well as lyrist and song writer on Smash. Messing, formerly seen on Will & Grace, is an award winner with a musical background. Angelica Huston (Prizzi's Honor, The Adams Family) plays Eileen Rand the musical's producer who has to juggle handling a messy divorce along with the difficulty that goes with producing a Broadway musical. Frank Huston, Julia's husband is played by Brian d'Arcy James (Broadway's Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) is jealous of Tom Levett (Christian Borle from Broadway's Jesus Christ Superstar), Julia's partner and co-writer of Smash. The actress who finally gets the role of Marilyn is Ivy Lynn played by Megan Hilty from the Broadway production of 9 to 5: The Musical. Plenty of behind the scenes back biting helps keep this production on a bumpy road.

The school is named after James Burnett Abbott, a prominent attorney who was instrumental in the establishment of the San Diego Public Library System. "How I Met Your Father" is an upcoming American television series that is a spin-off of the popular sitcom "How I Met Your Mother". The show is set to follow the story of a new group of friends living in New York City and their adventures in dating and relationships. Unlike the original series, this time the story is told from the perspective of a woman as she recounts to her children how she met their father.

"Bored to Death" seems so completely and consummately the work of Larry David it ought to come with some kind of designer label. Its characters show the same seen-it-all New York brusqueness that distinguished the most memorable characters on "Seinfeld," and the characters sleep-walk through their lives with the same un-self-consciousness as their cousins on "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Not surprisingly, therefore, David scored a prestigious nomination for a 2010 Writers' Guild Award. Based on a delectably quirky premise, "Bored to Death" stars Jason Schwartzman as Jonathan, a writer in search of meaning, adventure, and consolation has he struggles through a pretty routine midlife crisis. When his long-time girlfriend dumps him, walking roughshod all over his delicate ego, Jonathan becomes a Craig's List private detective. The New York Times explains, "One of the charms of "Bored to Death" is that the hero, a pothead and screw-up, secretly moonlights as a man of action" at least as much action as missing skateboards and cheating boyfriends can trigger. Ted Danson co-stars as George, a profligate publisher and socialite, who encourages Jonathan's new endeavor. Not surprisingly, Danson shows a marked tendency to steal all the scenes in which he appears. Mid-life man's marginalization probably is the well-spring of Larry David's most exquisite ironies.
