Ella Beatty stars as Lizzie Borden, with Charlie Hunnam as her father Andrew, Rebecca Hall as her stepmother Abby, Vicky Krieps as the household maid Bridget Sullivan, and Billie Lourd as Lizzie's sister Emma. Across eight episodes the season reconstructs the killings and the trial that gripped Gilded Age America, using the case to probe Victorian misogyny, class, and the suffocating expectations placed on women of the era — the first time the franchise has built a season around an alleged female perpetrator.
