American Housewife is a television show that premiered on ABC in 2016. The show is about a woman named Katie Otto, who lives with her husband and three children in a wealthy suburb of Westport, Connecticut. The show revolves around Katie's attempts to fit in with the other wealthy and seemingly perfect moms in her community, while also trying to maintain her own sense of individuality and identity.

Follow along with the lives of several aspiring soon to be medical professionals who must endure the fast paced, physically demanding world of medical training. Medical interns have always been expected to complete this "trial by fire" method of learning and though the "burn out" rate is low many find it the most difficult time of their lives. Scrubs deals with the trying times of interns through much humor and a fast paced script each week. The actors are encouraged to improvise with their character's dialog in each episode, making the show interesting and always including something unexpected. Among the cast are Sarah Chalke (Rosanne, How I Met Your Mother) as Dr. Elliot Reed, Zach Braff (Manhattan Murder Mystery, Twelfth Night) as Dr. John Dorian, Donald Faison (Clueless, Remember the Titans) as Dr. Chris Turk, and Neil Flynn (The Middle, Re-animated) portrays the janitor who torments Dr. Dorian in what was supposed to be a one episode appearance but grew into a permanent character role. Scrubs shows the humor inside the manic determination that is part of becoming a doctor and this fast paced show always offers something different and fun to watch.

Returning to television as the star of ABC's "Mr. Sunshine," Matthew Perry faces two formidable challenges: First, he must out-grow, live-down, or crawl out of his intimate association with Chandler, his legendary "Friends" persona. Second, Perry and co-star Allison Janney must inspire their audience to forget "Mr. Sunshine" replaces Courtney Cox's hit "Cougar Town." Perry and Jenny benefit from writers' and producers' wonderfully quirky visions of their characters and unusual situation. Perry plays Ben, a character potentially as memorable as Chandler but with far greater depth and much richer melancholy mid-life undertones. Operations Manager of The Sunshine Center, a run-down San Diego arena, home of the circus and lingerie football, Ben learns on his fortieth birthday that his girlfriend is leaving him because he is so thoroughly self-involved he has no love left over for anyone else. Jenny plays Crystal, the arena's pill-popping owner who could become America's next favourite villain on the strength of her thinly veiled racism and despise of children, except that Jenny's consummate skill as an actress redeems her. One Los Angeles reviewer wisely concludes, "["Mr. Sunshine"] isn't perfect; and it won't change the landscape of comedic television right away, even though it's part of a game-changing three-hour comedy block for ABC. But it is taking all of the important steps in the right direction." If "Mr. Sunshine" seems a little wobbly at first, viewers should remember "Cougar Town's" first-episode identity crisis, allowing lots of latitude for Perry's and "Mr. Sunshine's" rapid evolution.

The serene suburb of Kansas City, Kansas called Overland Park is the setting for a Showtime hit called United States of Tara which follows the life of Tara Gregson. She is a wife and mother of two who doctors have diagnosed as having dissociative identity disorder. She has multiple personalities that she transitions into when severely stressed. She may become a flirty teen who calls herself "T" or Alice who is a housewife straight out of the 1950's. She may turn into a beer swilling, loud male she calls Vietnam Vet Buck when particularly pressured or even displaying a fourth personality who goes by the name of Gimme. Multiple personalities are uncontrollable and can't be chosen but just happen when she is in a weak moment or facing problems difficult to cope with. Tara does have the support of son and daughter as well as her husband, Max. Charmaine, her doubting sister, sometimes thinks Tara is faking it for sympathy reasons. This intriguing show follows her various personality changes and how they affect the family unit.

George Carlin's American Dream is a comedy special that was created by the late comedian George Carlin in 2004. The show covers a range of topics related to the American Dream, including consumerism, the pursuit of happiness, and the pursuit of wealth. Carlin critiques the idea of the American Dream, arguing that it is a concept that has been used to control people and distract them from larger societal issues.

And so does the original title which was Are You There Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea. The shows protagonist character, Chelsea Newman is based on Chelsea Handler and her friends who are a group of working class folks from New Jersey. The real Chelsea is Chelsea Joy Handler, a comedienne as well as TV talk show host who wrote the book. In this sitcom we find Laura Prepon (That 70's Show, October Road) playing the main role and even the real Chelsea Handler has a minor role as Sloane. Others include Jake McDorman (CSI: Miami, Greek) as Rick, Dee Dee is played by Lauren Lapkus (a stand up comedian and improvisationist), Melvin is portrayed by Lenny Clarke (Rescue Me, The John Larroquette Show), and as Olivia is Ali Wong from Breaking In, Chelsea Lately. Many of the characters are based on the book by Chelsea Handler and take place in the sports bar the character works. Expect to see plenty of outrageous behavior from this twenty something social group.
