Kim Woo-bin plays Iblis, a powerful genie who has been imprisoned for almost a thousand years, until he is unexpectedly freed by Ki Ka-young, played by Bae Suzy, an ordinary woman who turns out to be the reincarnation of the person responsible for his captivity. Bound to grant her three wishes, the vengeful genie finds his plans for retribution complicated by an inconvenient attraction, and the series spins their uneasy bargain into a mix of magic, chaos, suspense and slow-building romance.
