This was not common practice but had an ancient history with the first known affairs with consent happening back in the 16th century! Today it's all part of reality television and aimed at an audience with curiosity in poor taste. For two weeks (in virtual time) we view how well celebrity guests cope with each other's spouse. The first episode illustrates how different we all are. Carnie Wilson and Tracy Gold exchange hubbies and households. Carnie is part of the musical group Wilson Phillips and daughter of Beach Boy Brian Wilson and a self proclaimed "slob". She lives a truly casual life with her musician husband Rob Bonfiglio. Tracy Gold, who was a child star on Growing Pains back in the 80's, is a control freak who is madly in love with her hubby Roby Marshall and their four kids. The first week of the "swap" we'll see the celebrities live by rules dictated in the host's home but the next week they turn the tables and rule the roost of their new temporary spouse. "Big Brother" numbers among those long-running (unreal) reality shows that keep rolling along on their own momentum long after the thrills have gone. Originally adapted from a popular Dutch series, "Big Brother" puts thirteen carefully chosen strangers in a house heavily wired with cameras and microphones, capturing every word, gesture, and nuance. The producers challenge their "guests" to complete a series of physical and mental "stunts," periodically polling their feelings about who among them should go home. The one guest who stays longest goes home with half-a-million American dollars. Although "Big Brother's" novelty has faded, even the most stony-hearted and cynical critics must accord the superannuated series its props: When an online streaming service attempted a similarly contrived "residential situation," capitalizing on the industry's newest, most sophisticated audio and video technology, it faded to black in less than a month. At the other end of the scale, when MTV adapted "Big Brother's" premise for use along the New Jersey coastline, it became a cultural phenomenon, and "Snooki" became a household word. Clearly, it's not the premise but the chemistry that determines the show's fate. Therefore, credit "Big Brother" with good chemistry and agree to roll along with the momentum.

Swamp People is a reality TV series that first aired on the History Channel in 2010. The show follows several teams of alligator hunters who live in the swamps of Louisiana and hunt alligators for their meat and hides. The hunters use various techniques and tools to catch the alligators, including baited hooks, nets, and harpoons.

"Special Forces: World's Toughest Test" is a television series that follows a group of civilians as they attempt to undergo the grueling selection process to become members of various Special Forces units around the world. The show features individuals from different backgrounds and fitness levels who are put through a series of physical and mental challenges that test their endurance, strength, and strategic thinking. The selection process is designed to push candidates to their limits and see how they respond under pressure.

The competition is high and so are the stakes for the U.S. version of The X Factor. Judges have been selected from the cream of the celebrity music crop and with a recording contract worth $5 million the winners in each category will need to be at their best and give the performances of their lives. Simon Cowell is creator of The X Factor and will oversee the talent as well as the judges, assuring the show goes on in an audience pleasing manner. Each of the judges will handle one of the four assigned categories that include boy singers (ages 12-25), girl singers (ages 12-25), group singers, and those who are over the age of twenty five. Unlike other programs of this sort there is no upper age limit for the competitors. Judges will mentor those in their category and offer help and advise as the competition progresses. Getting that advise from the likes of Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger, L.A. Reid, or Simon Cowell himself will be invaluable to the aspiring singers as they have helped fashion many super stars in the music industry. There are to be five competitive stages involved: Auditions by the producers, auditions by the judges, a Bootcamp, visitation to the judges houses, and finally the live shows where it all comes down to a single winner or group. As the five stages of the competition progress, it promises to get more exciting each week

The four "professional buyers" in this reality based program offer up plenty of laughs as well as some serious buyers envy when they find treasure troves of merchandise in repossessed storage lockers. Of course they also get "stung" a certain amount of the time because it's not a perfect world after all. Whether they bid on lockers containing an extremely valuable collection of comic books, old collectible cars, or junk jewelry it is just by chance that they luck out and find a treasure among the trash left behind by those who failed to pay their storage locker fees. The main buyers on this show, along with some intrepid newcomers to the bidding process, take their chances because they cannot enter the locker or open any boxes inside. Dan Dotson, real time auctioneer, offers up some intriguing lots each week and the "pro buyers" who follow him around include Darrell Sheets, Barry Weiss, Dave Hester, and Jarrod Schulz (the youngest collector). Each episode depicts the challenging world faced by collectors and also shows how so much of someone's life can be left behind in storage.
