Do not misread the connotations in the title X-Men: First Class. "First class" is a phrase which here does not mean "the best, the finest, the most luxurious," nor does it signify "the part of the plane with complimentary cocktails and room to stretch out." Take the phrase literally. In strangely oxymoronic style, the studio's promotional materials claim X-Men: First Class "charts the epic beginning (sic) of the X-Men saga," the first group of students to graduate from Professor X's school for reluctant super-heroes. "Who knew an "epic beginning" was possible? In their salad days, Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, ultimately sworn mortal enemies, were the best of buds, experimenting with and testing their newly discovered powers, preparing to join other Mutants to prevent Armageddon. X-Men: First Class documents their nasty break-up. They could not be "just friends.""Although the men allegedly star in X-Men: First Class, the so-called "supporting actresses" threaten to steal the show. January Jones of "Madmen" fame plays Emma Frost, villainesse supreme, co-conspirator with Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw, criminal mastermind. More notably, Jennifer Lawrence—yes that Jennifer Lawrence, low-keyed "It Girl" from Winter's Bone and the Oscars' red carpet—plays Mystique, aka Raven Darkholme, shape-shifting mutant. By film's end, girl power may trump super-powers.

The trailer-teasers for Super 8 inspire millions more questions than they answer, but they do give lots of proof the "old Spielberg magic" is on the comeback trail. Super 8's characters, suspense, and imagery strongly remind veteran dreamworkers of ET and Jurassic Park—strangely scary yet still kid-friendly. For all that they tantalize, though, the Super 8 trailers preserve the film's secrets. The State Department and CIA should study in the J.J. Abrams School of Secret-Keeping; even the WikiLeaks guys would struggle to dig up much more than the trailer's suggestion that a bunch of cute and cool kids have to deal with an "unknown incredible creature." All we really know is that, in the small Ohio town, just about everything that can blow up will blow up. Oh yeah, and we know the kids will film everything on their super-8 movie camera."Super 8 may go into Hollywood history as the movie with sibling rivalry in the sub-text. Elle Fanning, Dakota's younger sister, and Amanda Michalka, Allyson's sister, come out of the big kids' shadows and into their own, proving they have talent and skills. The big kids should feel very afraid. Gabriel Basso, the one child star without famous siblings but who may be a direct descendant of Tom Sawyer, continues the tradition of impish, resourceful Spielberg boy-heroes. Kyle Chandler, uber-dad from "Friday Night Lights," brings that same manly command to Super 8, reassuring everyone that everything will be okay.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is a 2016 fantasy film directed by David Yates and written by J.K. Rowling. The movie takes place in the wizarding world of Harry Potter but is set 70 years before the events of the original series. The story follows Newt Scamander, a magizoologist, and his adventures in New York City during the 1920s. He arrives in the city with a suitcase full of magical creatures, but when some of them escape, chaos ensues. Newt must navigate the dangers of the city and the threat of exposure to the non-magical population, all while trying to recapture his escaped creatures.

When the biography of Abraham Lincoln, Abe Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is found, it was discovered to be based upon secret diaries old Abe kept himself. Soon the rumors began to fly surrounding our 16th President. Henry Surges penned the bio based on some of the writings found in Abe's diaries and the story came to life. Abe learned about vampires from his father, Thomas Lincoln back when he was eleven years old and so believed them to be real. Apparently, according to Thomas Lincoln, Abe's grandfather, also named Abraham, was killed by vampires back in 1786 and that his grandmother died as a result of an infusion of vampire's blood. This was all a result of revenge over unpaid debts incurred by grandpa Thomas. This is a "tongue in cheek" movie at best and does contain some historic incidence but mostly is played as a "what if" and is fun!tarring Benjamin Walker (Flags of our Fathers, Unconscious) as Abe Lincoln in the years before the Civil War. He travels down to New Orleans on the Mississippi River by flatboat with plans to sell goods and encounters a slave auction which affects him deeply. Following a slave buyer Abe discovers the buyer to be a vampire who is buying slaves for food and not for resale. Fiction but nun the less a very fascinating look at history as it might have been!

"The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" is a 2007 fantasy-adventure film directed by Jay Russell and based on a novel by Dick King-Smith. The movie is set in Scotland during World War II and follows the story of a young boy named Angus who discovers a mysterious egg while walking along the beach. The egg hatches into a sea creature that Angus names Crusoe and raises in secret with the help of his sister and a hired hand. However, as Crusoe grows larger and becomes more difficult to keep hidden, Angus and his friends must find a way to release him back into the sea without getting caught by the authorities who are searching for a monster that they believe is a threat to national security.

It is sometime in the near future and the sport of boxing is more popular than ever. When boxer Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman of Wolverine and X-Men movie fame) loses out on his opportunity to become the Champion when the sport is taken over by robots, he decides to build one that can be a contender. With his son's help they work out a plan to make the best high-tech boxing robot. Kenton's son Max (Dakota Goyo of Thor and Resurrecting the Champ) is young and eager to help the father he has been estranged from. his film is a wild action packed ride that pits eight foot tall two thousand pound steel pugilists against each other. Taking all the human emotion out of the sport, we find robots can really box but who cares which one wins now? The stakes are high for Charlie Kenton and his son as they piece together scrap metal and low end bots to create the next great contender. Also starring Evangeline Lilly, Karl Yune, and James Rebhorn.
