Moonfall is a sci-fi disaster movie that came out in 2022. It was directed and produced by Roland Emmerich and starred famous actors such as Halle Berry, Patrick Wilson, and Michael Peña. The story follows two former astronauts and a conspiracy theorist who uncover a hidden truth about the moon after it suddenly leaves its orbit. The movie was shot in Montreal and had a budget of around $140 million, making it one of the most expensive independent films ever made.

The Hobbit movie was scheduled to release in 2012 as the first part of epic saga based on J. R. R. Tolkien's book "The Hobbit, or There and Back Again" written in 1937. Peter Jackson, director and executive producer of the "Lord of The Rings" films hired Guillermo del Toro to direct filming both of the parts and bring a fresh perspective in the movie plot. "I plan to change and expand the visuals from Peter's, and I know the world can be portrayed in a different way." said del Toro in his interview to Premiere magazine. The acting cast consists of Martin Freeman (as Bilbo Baggins) previously starred in BBC contemporary adaptation of the Sherlock Holmes and Richard Armitage (as Thorin Oakenshield) know as Robert Lovelace in BBC Radio 4's production of "Clarissa: A History of a Young Lady"

Based on the novel titled A Princess of Mars, John Carter was first published as a serial in magazines back in 1912 before becoming a novel. The lead character, Carter, is a veteran of the Civil War in America and while on Mars he encounters huge green barbarians who are twelve feet tall with six limbs and long dangerous tusks. It is a world that is difficult to survive in and Carter must fight his way back home again if he can.aylor Kitsch of the TV series Friday Night Lights stars as John Carter, Willem Dafoe (Daybreakers, Spider-Man 3) is Tars Tarkas, and Princess Dejah Thoris is played by Lynn Collins (True Blood, Haunted).

Riddick (2013), which previously was titled as The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking is the third movie of the Riddick franchise. The first one was low budget Pitch Black, which was filmed in 2000. This film gave a start both for The Chronicles of Riddick franchise and Vin Diesel career. The movie was a "sleeper hit" grossing over US$53 million in theaters with budget less than US$23 million. The second film in the franchise, The Chronicles of Riddick was less successful in profits: it generated over US$115 million with budget around US$100 million, but met mostly positive audience feedback, although critics met it with tepid reviews. Nevertheless, the third movie is aimed to repeat the success of the first film: it has relatively low budget grossing around US$38 million. The story of the Riddick (2013) revolves around the antihero, Richard B. Riddick. He is left on the scorched planet inhabited by alien predators. When he manages to activate an alarm beacon, it attracts the attention of two spaceships. The first one carries the hordes of thugs hired to kill Riddick, while the second one is captained by the man well known to him. Uncommon intelligence and inhuman strength help Riddick to use these guests to get away from the planet, commit an act of retaliation and rescue the people of his homeworld planet Furya from mass destruction.

"The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep" is a 2007 fantasy-adventure film directed by Jay Russell and based on a novel by Dick King-Smith. The movie is set in Scotland during World War II and follows the story of a young boy named Angus who discovers a mysterious egg while walking along the beach. The egg hatches into a sea creature that Angus names Crusoe and raises in secret with the help of his sister and a hired hand. However, as Crusoe grows larger and becomes more difficult to keep hidden, Angus and his friends must find a way to release him back into the sea without getting caught by the authorities who are searching for a monster that they believe is a threat to national security.
