With an invasion from somewhere from outer space in progress, we humans find ourselves being taken over, one by one, by some form of alien beings. While they invade our planet and take over the minds of everyone they come into contact with a few manage to remain "wild and free". Melanie Stryder, played by Saoirse Ronan (Atonement, The Lovely Bones) attempts to hold out but succumbs to an alien named Wanderer. Wanderer has been warned about possession of human bodies and the consequences involved such as mood changes, vivid memories from that human's past life, and an entire gamut of emotions they have never experienced where they came from. Starting as a psychological thriller half-baked in the early Shyamalan style, closer to the second hour "The Box" quietly and gradually reaches some incredible degree of psychedelic action that much similar to Kelly - Lynch and Kubrick. Absolutely not sparing the audience (even forgetting it), Richard Kelly continues to swing the flywheel of action, reeling him more and more new characters, then explaining that by entering into contradiction with itself, and at the last minute just shot at close plan. Written by John Landis and his son, Max, Chronicle takes the audience on a rollercoaster ride of adventure as we watch three teenaged boys who learn they are developing superpowers after exposure to some mysterious substances while walking through the woods nearby their homes. Typical of many teenagers these boys find they have a rather dark side to their personalities when their strange and powerful new capabilities become increasingly strong. They each must decide how best to handle their powers and while impressive, they can also be dangerous to themselves and others. ohn Landis is well known as director of such fun and entertaining movies as Animal House and American Werewolf in London and now teams up with his son, Max to come up with this delightful film. Shot in a pretend documentary style, and using hand held cameras (think Blair Witch Project), Chronicle is entertaining and enlightening.tars Michael B. She is aided by Stavros, a slave and master thief played by Stephen Dorff (Backbeat, Somewhere) and Older Zeus who is a mentor of Theseus and an earthly manifestation of the god Zeus (played by Oscar winner John Hurt (The Elephant Man, Midnight Express).n excellent cast and top writing make this dramatic mythology film a must see for those who love battle strategy, justice, and wisdom in their movies.

Clash of the Titans continues the tradition of nostalgic blockbusters. It tries in its own way to retell almost all the major mythical conflict of the ancient world. Sam Worthington as the notorious 3D, are only a backdrops to a deliberately constructed scenes. Most of the movie time spent on speeches in the best spirit of "Harry Potter", the rest is CGI scenes in the best traditions of the 90th. The only thing that "Clash of the Titans" is completely devoid of taste, everything in it is subject to a simplification. In general, it is the perfect movie for the big screen, the viewer of any age and almost any audience. True, it is doubtful that there will be people able to watch it twice.

If nothing else, "Tron: Legacy" is another masterpiece of Disney marketing. Released during the 2010 holiday season, "Tron: Legacy" comes with video game sold separately, and Academy Award winner built-in. Jeff Bridges stars as Kevin Flynn, video-game developer who mysteriously disappeared twenty years ago. The studio's logline reads, "An ambitious hacker transports himself into cyberspace to pull off the ultimate hack." Translation: Garrett Hedlund plays Sam Flynn who jumps into his father's video game universe to rescue him. Identifying with the movie's heroes, avid gamers report, "They created this kind of seamless line between the game and the movie."""Tron: Legacy" is visually stunning. Recent advances in CGI enable the characters, weapons, and landscape to radiate off the screen and envelope the audience. The battles live up to their "epic" billing. Just as importantly, Olivia Wilde brilliantly plays fearless warrior Quorra, who leads dad and kid on their perilous journey across the world dad created. Beau Garrett, a frequent Olivia Wilde screen partner, plays Siren Jem, the perfect foil to Quorra.
