A dream team within a one movie - Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin -impress with the incredible chemistry between members of this trio. Stand Up Guys director Fisher Stevens climbed into the territory of crime-comedy thrillers about gangsters mocking gangsters. Nonetheless Stand Up Guys is not a spoof of Pulp-Fiction-like movies, it has its own tint, and there is the place for seriousness too. The story begins when Val (impersonated by Al Pacino, a well-known American author gained his fame by his memorable roles in The Devil's Advocate, Heat, Scent of a Woman, The Godfather, Scarface) is being released from "the big house" after serving 28-years sentence. His mate, Doc (played by Christopher Walken, previously starred in A Late Quartet, Seven Psychopaths, Balls of Fury and Man of the Year) is eager to meet him at the walls of the penitentiary. Doc has two reasons for cheery embraces for his old pal. Doc was given a task to kill Vic. The assignment was made by the local kingpin Claphands (played by Mark Margolis: Beneath, Noah, The Courier, Black Swan), who is dreaming about revenge for his son's accidental death accusing Vic for this. Nevertheless, Vic is aware about Doc assignment, and first thing buddies want do to is to visit the local cathouse ( it's a second reason), where the mess begins: alcohol, drugs and Viagra overdose ignites the chain of events buddies can't control.

"Crazy Rich Asians" is a 2018 romantic comedy-drama film directed by Jon M. Chu and based on Kevin Kwan's 2013 novel of the same name. The film features an all-Asian cast and tells the story of Rachel Chu, an American-born Chinese professor who travels to Singapore with her boyfriend, Nick Young, to attend his best friend's wedding and meets his wealthy family for the first time. As Rachel navigates the social complexities of Nick's world, she faces many challenges and conflicts that force her to confront her own identity and values.

Ms Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz) is foul mouthed, greedy, and recently lost her "sugar daddy" so she sets her sights on a colleague at the elementary school where they work. The R rating is well earned for this one as the Bad Teacher in question shows how Bad she can be as she smokes pot, swears a blue streak, and guzzles booze quite effortlessly. Cameron Diaz has plenty of film creds on her resume including There's Something About Mary and My Best Friend's Wedding so she doesn't need this kind of role yet somehow it fits her like a glove and she wears it well. Justin Timberlake (portraying Scott Delacorte) is the fellow teacher she sets her sights on and he is no slouch in the talent department either with six Grammy Awards and a pair of Emmy's on his shelf. There is something about this film that makes it well worth watching and it involves humor and putting those who deserve it in their place. Jake Kasdan directs this summer release which involves jealousy, breast implants, junior high high-jinks, and a rather beautiful teacher who suffers from constant hang-overs.

It takes a magical Bodhi tree to show Jack McCall, a literary agent with a gift for gab, that he talks too much. When Jack's client Dr. Sinja finds his agent has exaggerated details of a literary deal the author/guru plants a Bohdi tree on Jack's property. The tree, a symbol of wisdom and honesty, begins losing its leaves at a rate of one per word issued by Jack McCall. And as Jack is a major talker this causes severe trauma to the magical tree. When Jack learns that he will die after he speaks (and the tree loses) one thousand he finds he is hit with a karmic repercussion that he needs to eliminate. The super-smart but tragically nerdy kids go to Harvard; the wise-ass geniuses go to Yale. Natalie Portman went to Yale. Therefore, no one should feel at all surprised that Portman can follow a brilliant and breathtaking performance in Black Swan with a charming and lighthearted romp through No Strings Attached. The bitter and brutal ballet movie showed critics and audiences just how smart, sensitive, and psychotic Portman can become when a role demands manic intensity. One critic commented, "She always has been good, but now we know the woman actually can act—except she is so good we forget she is acting." No Strings Attached proves Portman's range, and it satisfies her concern that Hollywood produces far too few "vulgar" comedies for women by women and starring women."No Strings Attached gained director Ivan Reitman's attention when it qualified for the 2009 "Hollywood Blacklist," a studio executive's annual collection of the best scripts that have failed to make the cut at every major studio. The writers pitched No Strings Attached in a single sentence: "A guy and a girl struggle to have an exclusively sexual relationship as they both come to realize they want much more." Although the plot seems painfully thin, irony, sentiment, and humor alloy the script. Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher punctuate and pixelate the post-modern era's answer to Doris Day and Rock Hudson, delivering a sweetly satisfying Valentine's Day confection. Apparently, at Yale, students learn never to take themselves or their obvious brilliance too seriously.
