The original novel was titled The Feather Men, penned by Sir Ranulph Fiennes back in 1991. This action adventure is based on the true story of Britain's Special Air Service Elite member Danny Bryce who is played by Jason Statham (The Mechanic, Crank: High Voltage). When the recently retired Danny learns his mentor, a guy named Hunter, has been taken hostage he must rescue him and the action begins. Using all his special ops skills he finds it necessary to kill three of the assassins sent for him by their leader, Spike, and must find and take out the one who holds his friend Hunter who is capably played by Robert DeNiro (Raging Bull, Taxi Driver). pike, who is the cunning leader is played by Clive Owen from Elizabeth: The Golden Age and Inside Man. Other cast members in this action packed film include Yvonne Strahovski (I Love You Too, The Canyon) as Anne and Dominic Purcell who plays Davies (Straw Dogs, TV series Prison Break). Well written and acted, Killer Elite is an action packed ride that was filmed in Australia.

Whether or not you find it plausible, you must admit it's not a bad idea: Who ever would suspect the innocent abroad would be hell-bent on killing? Well, okay, who but Blanchett's character? As Hanna evades capture and approaches her ultimate target, she discovers a character attribute which feels and acts surprisingly like a conscience. Remember the time-honoured themes in modern literature—good versus evil, and character versus his or her own human nature? Hanna updates and intensifies those themes in a well-paced, white-knuckle post-modern, girl-power package.

Night at the Museum 2 is an excellent and intelligent family adventure movie. It may disappoint you if you are counting on the comedy, as usual expecting Ben Stiller's hilarious antics and 'adult' jokes.This is the movie you have to watch with children: it would give them joy and knowledge of history, but you will not get bored, watching the excellent shapes of Amy Adams in tights and choreography of the Spartans performed by tiny Oates and Coogan. Then, may be you will take your family to the to the museum.

Man of Steel is the next one in a long row of reboots which shook the film industry in 2012-2013. Produced by Christopher Nolan the creator of unparalleled Inception, Man of Steel tells the same story as his 25-years old predecessor but with enormous (even for 2013) budget around 200,000,000 USD. Filmed in Plano, Illinois the movie at the same time uses Chicago and Vancouver as backdrops. The huge budget mostly dictated by enchanting ensemble of the cast and incredible 3D which is reported to be much more sophisticated than everything you could watch before. In case of Man of Steel it's a venture without a risk: as the Superman is known to almost everyone on Earth, and there are three major target audiences that eager to watch it. First of all, it's new generation that heard of Superman a lot, and watched numerous TV series and spoofs. The second, there is the generation that remembers Ilya Salkind's Superman. And third one is the oldest audience, who have read DC comics itself and bring their children (second generation audience) to the cinema to show them first Superman movie. So we have there a winning marketing strategy combined with most advanced CGI as it is at 2013. What about the actors? Henry Cavill as Superman looks very hot, while his parents realistically depicted by Kevin Costner and Diane Lane (Jonathan and Martha Kent – Superman's Earthborn foster parents), Jor-El (a Superman's real father from Krypton) is portrayed by Russell Crowe. The epitome of the do-or-die female reporter, Lois Lane is played by Amy Adams, who may be familiar to you as Anna Brady form Leap Year and Charlene Fleming from The Fighter.

Superheroes are popular and abundant in comic books. Now we find many of them making it onto the big screens, followed up by DVD release for home entertainment. Just as Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor have made a big splash in the live action arena, The Avengers looks to be a big hit and huge money maker for its distributor Walt Disney Pictures. "Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson from Pulp Fiction, Iron Man) is director of S.H.I.E.L.D., an agency for international peacekeeping. When an unexpected enemy threatens global security and safety Fury decides to call on a team of superheroes to save the world. Among his choices are Iron Man Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey, Jr. from Iron Man, Tropic Thunder), the reclusive billionaire industrialist who invents a mechanical suit of armor. Also summoned are Captain America Steve Rogers (played by Chris Evans from Captain America: The First Avenger) who's experiments with serums led to his super human physicality, and Dr. Bruce Banner who is the Hulk. Played by Mark Ruffalo from Shutter Island, The Kids Are All Right) the Hulk is somewhat of a "loose cannon" making the other team members leery of his participation. Rounding out the dream team of Avengers is Thor (played by Chris Hemsworth from 2009's Star Trek and A Perfect Getaway) Norse's God of Thunder.

The 1966 film "Batman" is a comedic take on the popular comic book character. The plot revolves around Batman and Robin trying to stop the villainous Joker, Riddler, Catwoman, and Penguin from taking over the world. The film is a continuation of the "Batman" TV series from the same year and features many of the same actors.
