The year is 140 AD and it is some twenty years after the disappearance of the whole Ninth Legion while in Scotland's mountains. Seeking to solve the mystery and also get his father back his reputation, Marcus Aquila works his way across the Hadrian's Wall, into Caledonia's uncharted highlands where he meets up with savage tribes in order to retrieve his father's honor, his memory, as well as the lost golden emblem known as the Eagle of the Ninth.

This could be invented only by a person for whom the entertainment is a major part of any movie. Scott Stewart, who created the visual effects for "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Iron Man" and dozens of famous films, has performed the task perfectly well. The only question arise, is it normal when a movie where most of humanity dies, and survivals are continuously referring to the Bible?

The Batman is a 2022 American superhero film based on the DC Comics character Batman. The film is a reboot of the Batman film franchise, directed by Matt Reeves, who wrote the screenplay with Peter Craig. Robert Pattinson stars as Bruce Wayne / Batman. The film also stars Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. The film follows Batman, who has been fighting crime in Gotham City for two years, uncovering corruption while pursuing the Riddler, a serial killer who targets Gotham's elite. The film development began after Ben Affleck was cast as Batman in the DC Extended Universe in 2013. But Affleck dropped out and Reeves took over. Filming began in the United Kingdom in January 2020, but was halted by the COVID-19 pandemic and it resumed later in the year and concluded in Chicago in March 2021. The film was a commercial success, grossing over $770 million against a $185–200 million budget, received positive reviews from critics and it's intended to launch a Batman shared universe, with two sequels planned and two spin-off television series in development for HBO Max. In August 2013, Ben Affleck was cast as Bruce Wayne / Batman for multiple films in the DC Extended Universe. He made his debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016) and Justice League (2017). In October 2014, Warner Bros announced plans for a standalone Batman film starring Affleck, he was in negotiations to direct and co-write the screenplay with Geoff Johns by July 2015. But Affleck had reservations about directing the film and announced in January 2017 that he was stepping down as the director but still planned to star and produce. The film was put on hold due to the re-evaluation of Warner Bros approach to superhero films after the release of Batman v Superman. The film highlights that Batman's wealth does not alleviate his suffering and explores the idea that he should be more philanthropic. It also explores grief, trauma and the "horror" of living with post-traumatic stress disorder through Batman's character. The film also shows a different relationship between Batman and the police, with them viewing him as a criminal and a level of oversight they're not used to dealing with. This aspect of the film is considered "timely" given the contemporary American sociopolitical context including increased awareness of police brutality.

Star Trek into Darkness is the twelfth film in the Star Trek franchise, and the second one in the contemporary saga of Star Trek directed by J.J. Abrams. When Captain Kirk and his team approach the Earth they see unspeakable destruction made by the invaders of internal origin. The Starfleet is under a violent attack and the real purpose of the attackers' interests is unknown. Star Trek into Darkness is shot as a 2D movie, and then converted to 3D format. The film also features 9 minutes of the high-end action scenes that were shot by IMAX cameras. As for ensemble cast – in 2013's Star Trek into Darkness we enjoy the play of all the actors of previous Star Trek, excluding the villain roles, of course. The leading antagonistic role of Khan, was taken by Benedict Cumberbatch who may be known to you by his roles in The Hobbit saga of 2012-2014 as Necromancer and, what is more remarkably as Sherlock Holmes in the extremely popular British television series of the same name. As for Enterprise crew we see familiar faces: Chris Pine (Rise of the Guardians, People Like Us, This Means War) as James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto (The Invitation, What's Your Number?, Margin Call) as Spock and Zoe Saldana (Avater, Out of the Furnace, Nina) as Nyota Uhura.

Ninja Assassin stands in the same discipline as the "300" and does not exclude the possibility that even gets to windward it by part of naturalistic massacre. The blood and meat, at least is not worse, than at the best slaughterhouses, and a number of overly dark scenes fully offset by a crazy drive in all other battles with the stabbing. The plot about love, revenge, betrayal is not limit of perfection, of course, but looks as a necessary evil. However, there are no too overextended pauses between the massacre, massacre and massacre again…

Pain & Gain director Michael Bay has managed to gather an extraordinary cast in his movie Paul Doyle is played by Dwayne Johnson, a big guy from WWE who starred in Journey to the Center of the Earth (2 and 3), Snitch, Faster and The Other Guys. Mark Wahlberg (Broken City, Ted, Date Night, The Happening) also stars in Pain & Gain as Daniel Lugo, while Anthony Mackie (Gangster Squad, Real Steel, The Fighter, The Departed) is Adrian Doorbal. You may find interesting the fact that Pain & Gain was filmed after the real-life story about real Sun Gym Gang: both of them, Adrian Doorbal and Adrian Doorbal were sentenced for the electric chair in Florida. This time they are awaiting their fate in Florida's death row.
