He feels self-confident enough to convince her to let him left the money for himself, but very soon he realizes the futility of his life when he meets lonesome mother struggling for more significant needs than he could even imagine. The film was directed by Alex Kurtzman, who is better known as producer of action-packed movies like Star Trek and Cowboys & Aliens. People Like Us is his debut as director, and it's essential that this movie is a low budgeted one. However, it does not mean that something is wrong with this film. Awesome directional skills of Kurtzman multiplied on perfect assembly of cast and heart-touching screenplay (co-written by Alex too) resulted in must-see masterpiece equally standing among his other works as producer like Transformers Prime, Exit Strategy, Exit Strategy, Hawaii Five-0, Fringe. But, let's go back to the cast: beautiful Michelle Pfeiffer (Dark Shadows, Stardust) as Lillian is accompanied by Elizabeth Banks and charming Olivia Wilde (In Time, Tron: Legacy) as Hanna. The "downshifting" salesman is portrayed by Chris Pine, who is well known for his roles in latest Star Treks and very funny dramcom This Means War.

"Oliver Twist" is a British drama movie released in 1948, directed by David Lean. The movie is based on the classic novel by Charles Dickens and tells the story of a young orphan named Oliver Twist who falls in with a group of thieves and criminals in 19th century London. The movie explores themes of poverty, social injustice, and the struggle for survival in a harsh and unforgiving world.

Enter the Void movie features an awesome special cinematographic experiment. From the start of the film we are looking at the world through the eyes of its protagonist Oscar (Nathaniel Brown). When he blinks, the picture disappears. His thoughts, we hear his voice-overs. The story begins in a small, cramped Tokyo apartment. The balcony shows us a view at the busy street. A bright sign «ENTER» is on the other side of the road. Oscar calls Linda (his sister) and pointing to a flying airplane in the sky, said that he would like to see Tokyo from a height. She replied that she would be scared. He asks her: "What are you afraid?". She says: "Death, I suppose. Falling into the void. " Then the hero picks up a book and we see the Tibetan Book of the Dead closeup. He says he gave it to honor his friend Alex. His sister is skeptical, calling him "upright". Then she says goodbye and leaves. Left alone, Oscar takes a dose of DMT. The next five minutes we are enjoying special effects, revealing the visions of the hero. Of the trip he takes a phone call. His friend Victor calls. He wants Oscar to bring him his stuff and says that awaits him at the Void title bar. Oscar hardly wakes up and there suddenly comes Alex. The meantime, he asked about the Book of the Dead, to which Oscar replied that he reads it and likes. Alex in the conversation makes it clear that he likes the sister of Oscar. They leave the apartment and sent into the Void. On the way Alex tells Oscar his own version of the Tibetan Book of the Dead story. Then he advises Oscar to stop selling drugs and get a job. When they are reached the Void title sign, Alex refuses to enter there and promises to wait for an Oscar in the street. The attempt to sell the drugs to Victor ends with Oscar's death, but we are still looking thru his eyes… and there movie begins.

Despite the fact that the Ondine film is about our time, you seem to plunge into the mysterious and enigmatic place where time stands still and nothing changes, where legends live side by side with modern humans, it does not distinguish myth from reality - you are submerged. Underwater has its own rules and laws, and they differ from the earth. Only by following all the rules, you can communicate with the underwater world, and maybe even find happiness. If we talk about the story or the game actors, then, frankly, not really pay attention to this: under water all the changes the form and essence. In this film needed to immerse a whole, not dismantle it by the constituent parts. In this case, I can not say that it's for a wide audience.
