When "O" is kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel you can see how things could get complicated! John Travolta is a DEA agent hot on the trail of the cartel members when he too gets caught up in the intrigue. Uma Thurman is the mother of Ophelia or "O", desperate to find her daughter. Ransom requires the grass growers to give up all profits they've made the past five year but revenge is a sweeter deal.

Werner Herzog's Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans is a hymn to the absurd and total irrationality of everything. You can feel itwhen you are on the way of your own self-destruction, when the moral imperatives are thrown in the trash, and the place occupied by sleeping rational naughty and daring instincts. It is paradoxical but true: it is Herzog managed to break Nicolas Cage's (with rare perseverance ruin their once-glorious career) familiar mask of grief and sorrow.
