Superman is a 1978 American superhero film directed by Richard Donner, based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The film stars Christopher Reeve as Clark Kent/Superman, Margot Kidder as Lois Lane, and Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor. The film tells the origin story of Superman, from his birth on the planet Krypton to his life as a reporter for the Daily Planet in Metropolis.

Rambo: First Blood Part II is an action movie that was released in 1985. The movie is the second installment in the Rambo franchise and follows John Rambo, a former Green Beret, as he is sent back to Vietnam to locate and rescue American prisoners of war. Along the way, Rambo faces danger and betrayal, and must rely on his combat skills to survive.

The Mission Impossible Force is out and the Ghost Protocol is activated. Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise from Risky Business & Jerry Maguire) is team leader and bears the blame for the attack which they did not do. When they escape it is part of a plan to allow them to go about their business outside of the agency's approval. Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker, TV series The Unusuals) and Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction, Don King: Only in America) also star in this action packed thriller.hen the team "go rogue" they have to be careful because if any of their members are captured or their mission is compromised in any way, they will find themselves charged and treated as terrorists, then blamed for the attack on the Kremlin and making plans to start a global nuclear war.

The Eagle movie stars Channing Tatum (Dear John, G. I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) as Marcus Aquila and Donald Sutherland (Outbreak, JFK, Klute) as Aquila and is directed by Kevin MacDonald (The Last King of Scotland, State of Play). A film adaptation of the book "The Eagle of the Ninth" (1954) finds Britain as being ruled by Romans as a young soldier tries to honor memories of his father and find a golden emblem, The Eagle of the Ninth. The year is 140 AD and it is some twenty years after the disappearance of the whole Ninth Legion while in Scotland's mountains. Seeking to solve the mystery and also get his father back his reputation, Marcus Aquila works his way across the Hadrian's Wall, into Caledonia's uncharted highlands where he meets up with savage tribes in order to retrieve his father's honor, his memory, as well as the lost golden emblem known as the Eagle of the Ninth.

James Cameron returns to the sea, showing in three dimensions how a deep-sea cave-diving team descends into a previously unexplored cave system—the largest, most beautiful, most complex, and least accessible on Earth. There, explorers suddenly face the challenge to become survivors. Adapted from the real-life adventure of the screenplay's co-writer, Andrew Wight, Sanctum movie pays homage to the ocean's sublimity before it tears the mask off its monumental power. Richard Roxburgh, suitably daring and dashing, plays expedition leader Frank McGuire, who skillfully leads the team through months of exploration until a tropical storm cuts-off their exit, forcing them deeper into the caves in search of an escape. Struggling against raging water, short supplies, and inchoate terror, McGuire, his son Josh, and prominent financier Carl Hurley must make their way through a magnificent and menacing maze hoping against hope they will survive. Cameron had to work his magic on a relatively modest $30million budget, but director Alister Grierson and cinematographer Jules O'Loughlin bring out the best in the fine ensemble cast and make the most of Mother Nature's dramatic setting.

Nicholas Cage proves his special gift for keeping the paychecks coming, teaming up with the director of My Bloody Valentine for Drive Angry 3D, due in theaters early in February, 2011. The promotional materials seem a little ambivalent or ambiguous about the film's supernatural element: Cage supposedly has escaped from Hell to avenge his daughter's murder and rescue his infant grand-daughter from sacrifice at the hands of a devil-worshipping cult. Of course, "The Accountant," one of Satan's executive demons, pursues Cage as he drives angrily across a hostile landscape in hot pursuit of bad guys and redemption. Many of the synopses omit the demonic content, perhaps because it has very little impact on the characters, situations, or plot. Three classic American muscle cars actually star in Drive Angry 3D, exuding at least as much sex appeal as Charlotte Ross, who delivers a soon-to-be-legendary sex-and-violence vignette between Cage's angry driving sequences. What's not to love about a 1964 Buick Riviera, a 1969 Dodge Charger, and a 1971 Chevy Malibu all muscled-up and chromed for the occasion? Regardless of critics' and audiences' reaction to Drive Angry 3D, film historians may use the film as compelling evidence in support of their argument 3D definitely makes a film's imagery more vivid but does not automatically improve its content or redeem it as a work of art.
