The Skin I Live In takes it to another level and turns physical improvements into some horrific experiments gone awry. Dr. Robert Ledgard (Antonio Banderas) is a plastic surgeon who attempts to cultivate a new human skin that is impervious to burns. His wife died 12 years back after severe burns led her to commit suicide. His work thus far has only been on mice but he needs a human "guinea pig" to insure his efforts work. Here is where the horror begins! eems the good doctor has a female captive who he plans on using to test his newly developed skin. His servant, Marilia helps keep the woman under control but when her son, Zeca commits a robbery commits robbery and asks mom to hide him a few days, he discovers the captive woman and rapes her. Upon Dr. Ledgard's return he kills Zeca when he finds him raping his captive. We witness more mayhem including sexual reassignment, rapes, suicides, and murders. Acting like some sort of local Casanova he breaks the heart of one witch, Angelique Bouchard. There were two issues with this case: the first, she was the real witch and, and the second, it was a fatal mistake of Barnabas. Her reaction was lightning fast and literally inescapable: she turns him in the vampire and buries him for greater certainty. But after 200 years due to some accident he frees from the grave and tries to return to a normal life. But a normal life does not exist in 1972, anymore. Barnabas realizes it after visiting the ruins of former Collinwood Manor, now occupied by his dysfunctional descendants. There the story of Dark Shadows begins.

A love drama is hidden underneath of his maniacal lust for roaring parties he regularly organizes in his mansion, which he appears to purchase just because his "love of the whole life" lives nearby this place. She is portrayed by Carey Mulligan, Daisy met Jay Gatsby when he was poor, and successfully forgotten him after he has gone to War. Remaining one hundred thirty-three minutes of screen time will be given easy. Hooked on the book, the filmmakers did not bother to spice up your creation more apparent irony, rather than one that reduces to a truly remarkable scene of the first conversation with God, Liz, and questionable character jokes about overweight, gained in Rome. There is some lack of a lightness of romantic comedies or the depths of serious cinema in this drama with elements of road movie…
