"Nightcrawler" is a 2014 thriller film that tells the story of Lou Bloom, a desperate and ambitious young man who discovers the world of freelance crime journalism in Los Angeles. Using a police scanner and a video camera, Lou begins to capture footage of violent crimes and accidents, which he then sells to local news stations. When Fields discovers the murders mirror stories that have been showing up in the newspapers and are among a series of stories written by Poe, he is first suspicious of the writer but then finds another similar murder has happened even as the writer is held by police.ohn Cusack (Con Air, Pushing Tin) plays the part of Edgar Allen Poe in his last days, Police Inspector Emmett Fields is played by Luke Evans (The Three Musketeers, Immortals) who asks the famous Poe for his help in solving the murders and catching the killer before more are killed. Virginia Clemm-Poe is Poe's wife and played by Alice Eve (She's Out of My League, Sex and the City 2).

"Captain Phillips" is a 2013 biographical drama film directed by Paul Greengrass, based on the real-life events of the 2009 hijacking of the Maersk Alabama by Somali pirates. The film stars Tom Hanks as Captain Richard Phillips, who is taken hostage by the pirates after they board his ship in the Indian Ocean. The film chronicles the harrowing ordeal of the crew and the efforts of the US Navy to rescue them.

The greatest crime of the century is about to happen, however neither FBI agents, not Thaddeus are approached a step closer to unlock the puzzle of The Four Horsemen's riddle. What is this- a double-cross of one agent, Thaddeus' betrayal or … real magic? Besides the twisted plot we have great pleasure to watch an unparalleled play of actors. Besides abovementioned Morgan Freeman, Now You See Me stars some truly superior actors: Dave Franco (Warm Bodies, 21 Jump Street, Fright Night), Isla Fisher (Desperados, The Great Gatsby, Rise of the Guardians, Bachelorette) and Jesse Eisenberg (To Rome with Love, 30 Minutes or Less, The Social Network.)

Public Enemies is fair to compare with the cult Heat released fifteen years ago, but it seems that this time the Michael Mann jumped above the head, and it is not surprising as it seems at first glance. Mann manages to convert high-tech to high art, and that this film will be remembered after seventy years, as now, let's say, Dreyer's movies, as a major illustration of the key role of Mann in the world of cinema. And this is not only the matter of the form. Yes, Mann filmed first digital retro. And yes, the atmosphere of the thirties was recreated down to the dress models.

"Jennifer 8" is a crime thriller film released in 1992 and directed by Bruce Robinson. The story follows a Los Angeles police officer named John Berlin who relocates to a small town in California after experiencing a traumatic event. As he settles into his new job, he becomes involved in a serial killer investigation targeting blind women. While trying to solve the case, Berlin meets a young woman named Helena, who becomes a potential target for the killer.
