The Wave is a Norwegian disaster movie that was released in 2015. The movie follows a geologist named Kristian who is studying the mountains in Norway. Kristian discovers that there is an imminent danger of a rockslide into the fjord, which would cause a catastrophic tsunami. As Kristian and his family try to escape the disaster, they are faced with many obstacles and challenges.

Robin Hood is a new attempt to take the height set by "Gladiator." And this time the attempt was successful! It has been a long time since such historical thriller of the same ideal proportions, as the "Robin Hood" appeared in the theatres. The movie features fierce battles, which are perfectly balanced by the intrigues of public policy, revenge, romance and pastoral rural life in the family estate. Actor's work by Russell Crowe is perfectly good. Ridley Scott lovingly and painstakingly recreated on screen, the smallest details of everyday life of the Medieval. "The untold story of how man became a legend" - the slogan reads "Robin Hood" and the movie really tells how to become a legend. It's about how a true knight, the best economic manager and a standard of masculinity learned and continued to develop the big ideas of his predecessors.

The new comic book adaptation titled "Jonah Hex" has a chance to become a new subspecies of a Hollywood blockbuster movie. Which, unlike similar to it, "Van Helsing" and "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", boasts at least that there is no monstrous budget spent only on the CGI and still do not understand that. All are attached to ordinary story about an unusual hero against the forces of evil money not spent in vain - despite the feeble mind of local writers, the picture and dynamics in this are pretty good. But the lack of a coherent plot and its quality does not allow "Jonah Hex" to become something more than fantasy gunman at a time. "Professional and extremely steep mercenary in the best tradition of Western fighters dealt with the bad guys, that everything else resorted to the resurrection of the dead. Well, just as some representatives of the genre on occult themes. Unlike "John Hex" is that the hero was a little maimed and disfigured on one side of the face attached to the character of Josh Brolin sort of grim fascination. Besides, he enjoys exotic weapons such as crossbows and slaughter that was particularly funny - two miniguns pinned to ride a horse! On the part of any claims, action games - very bright and juicy, while gunfire and explosions in no way spoiled special effects, just the opposite. "For the rest, "Jonah Hex" just a collection of beautiful pictures without any good sense. Again, good vs. evil, it's pretty primitive, but effective. In true, everybody will be very pleased with the lack of oak dialogues and unnecessary pathos. Fortunately, the creators focused on the rigidity of action scenes and even the history of the protagonist, which is interesting main story. In addition, there is John Malkovich and even Megan Fox, which, apparently, after her disagreement with Michael Bay, is now doomed to get stuck in the semi-thrash movies for a long time. Generally "Jonah Hex" is worth watching, but only because of pretty pictures and good overall performances.

His character Ray Owens is a sheriff in small peaceful town on the USA-Mexican border, reluctantly involved into the last stand of local policemen against the most wanted drug kingpin who just spectacularly escaped from FBI and now heading to the Mexican border in order to slide abroad as soon as possible speeding above 200 Mph on his Corvette ZR1 with a hostage in a tow. But Ray Owens is not just a sheriff, he is the former FBI anti-drug department officer recently retired after some bungled operation (and, what is more important, he is also ex-Terminator as we know). Of course, he could not stand aside, and this is where bloody massacre begins. We'll see Arnold Schwarzenegger with shotgun blowing out enemies brains; we'll see him with monstrous machine gun doing the same, etc. Furthermore, aside of these "special features" we will se definitely brilliant cast of actors: Rodrigo Santoro, Zach Gilford, Genesis Rodriguez, Forest Whitaker, Jaimie Alexander, Eduardo Noriega, Luis Guzmán, Johnny Knoxville – an exciting list, isn't it? However the most serious thing you need to know that this movie is the first American action film directed by Kim Ji-woon, a talented Korean cinematographer, worldwide known for his masterpieces: "The Good, the Bad, the Weird", "A Bittersweet Life" and "I Saw the Devil."

Tommy Wirkola's Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters storyline is set the fifteen years after the events described in Brothers' Grimm book "Hansel and Gretel" which was written in 1812. The story of Grimm's characters, two siblings Hansel and Gretel, is well known around the world. Two children were left deep in the forest by their merciless father and stepmother provoked him to do such a horrible thing. After the days of wandering and starving, siblings have encountered a strange house built of gingerbreads, cakes and caramel. Hungry children began to eat the house walls when "very old woman" came out of house and greeted poor children, welcoming them to enter her abode, promising to feed them and give them a rest in soft and clean beds. The reality was that "very old woman" was nothing more than a ordinary witch willing to cook and eat Hansel and Gretel. However, smart siblings recognize her true intentions and happily escape home outwitting the old with by luring her into the oven. Besides this, they have stolen most of her gold, making them and their father incredibly rich (thanks to God their evil stepmother were dead by unknown reason by this time.) Coming back to the movie, after the fifteen years Hansel (Jeremy Renner) and Gretel (Gemma Arterton) became the professional witch hunters equipped by the last word of modern warfare industry of those times: pneumatic shotguns, arbalests etc. The nice pair was hired by the Mayor of Augsburg to track down and slay the most powerful witches of that region. This easy at the first look task, is going to be much more complicated as the local Sheriff, named Berringer (Peter Stormare), steps into this business. The movie is colorful by all the meanings: the horror, action, black humor and awesome witches are united in one watchworthy story – what could be better? As per witches, they are really great. Just imagine Monique Ganderton, Joanna Kulig, Ingrid Bolso Berdal, Zoe Bell as the 3D-enchanced furiously powerful godless creatures and Renner with Arterton exterminating them. Huh?

Irish author Jonathan Swift first published Gulliver's Travels in 1726, and it became an immediate sensation. Since then, Gulliver's Travels never has gone out-of-print, and its twenty-first century sales remain nearly as robust as they were in the sixteenth. Universally acknowledged as a classic of British literature, Swift's wonderwork scathingly satirizes human nature and parodies "travellers' tales." Not surprising, then, Hollywood has attempted to bring Gulliver's story to life on film in every decade since the medium was invented. Typically, the special effects have failed to keep pace with Swift's imagination. In the story's latest reprise, a slightly modernized version, the special effects are up to the challenge, but the question emerges, "Is Jack Black up to it?" Black has disappointed fans with his last couple of ventures, but critics say he looks "at ease" as he goes for "big" laughs in the land of the Lilliputians. The producers and director have built-in a few features to give Black a healthy bounce: Updating the story, they show Gulliver as a contemporary mailroom guy who finally catches a break, winning a travel-writing assignment in the Bermuda Triangle. 3D has gotta help the contrast between big Gulliver and little Lilliputians, and an all-star supporting cast is expected to bring out the best of Black's comic gifts.
