Could you imagine that Oz: The Great and Powerful, which is loosely based in L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was planned to be filmed by Disney since 1937? The rights for this movie was sold and resold for many times before, finally, Walt Disney Production acquired them and signed a contract with Sam Raimi to direct the film. Disney's series of decisions to reduce the filming costs had lead to unsuccessful negotiations with Robert Downey, Jr. and Johnny Depp for the leading role of Oscar Diggs/Oz, till, finally, James Franco was chosen for the role. You may remember him as Will Rodman form Rise of the Planet of the Apes. As the movie is the prequel for the core story The Wizard of Oz, there are no lovely Dorothy Gale, instead we have three witches. The Wicked Witch of the West, Theodora is portrayed by Mila Kunis which recently has had leading roles in Hell & Back and Friends with Benefits). Evanora The Wicked Witch of the East and the Ruler of the Munchkin Country is played by Rachel Weisz (The Bourne Legacy, To the Wonder); she inferiors in power of magic with Glinda the Good Witch of the South which is most powerful sorceress of Oz and is the ruler of the Quadling Country. In Disney's version of Oz: The Great and Powerful, Glinda is portrayed by Michelle Williams, which was quite smart decision, taking in consideration the amazing performance of Michelle Williams in My Week with Marilyn as Marilyn Monroe.

While it's difficult to imagine Conan without Arnold Schwarzenegger this movie lives up to the reputation of the earlier Conan films. Plenty of action, especially after Conan's father is murdered and the village has been destroyed. Conan becomes a thief and a pirate as he sets out to become a magnificent warrior and is on the trail of the evil Khalar Zym, the person responsible for his tribe's village being destroyed and the death of his father.Conan the Barbarian becomes one because of the misery in his past and as he travels about he encounters women who want him along with plenty of adventures, monsters, and witches. Jason Momoa (Ronon Dex of Stargate: Atlantis) is Conan in this updated version of Conan the Barbarian directed by Marcus Nispel (director of Friday the 13th (2009) and Pathfinder)."The 3D aspect enhances the action scenes and there are plenty of them throughout this exciting sword and sorcery film. Cast includes Rose McGowan (Grindhouse, The Black Dahlia), Stephen Lang (Avatar), Ron Perlman of television's Beauty and the Beast, and Rachel Nichols (Criminal Minds)."

The Long Kiss Goodnight is a 1996 American action thriller film directed by Renny Harlin and starring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. Star Trek into Darkness is the twelfth film in the Star Trek franchise, and the second one in the contemporary saga of Star Trek directed by J.J. Abrams. The film also features 9 minutes of the high-end action scenes that were shot by IMAX cameras. As for ensemble cast – in 2013's Star Trek into Darkness we enjoy the play of all the actors of previous Star Trek, excluding the villain roles, of course. The leading antagonistic role of Khan, was taken by Benedict Cumberbatch who may be known to you by his roles in The Hobbit saga of 2012-2014 as Necromancer and, what is more remarkably as Sherlock Holmes in the extremely popular British television series of the same name. As for Enterprise crew we see familiar faces: Chris Pine (Rise of the Guardians, People Like Us, This Means War) as James T. Filmed in Montreal, Quebec Mirror Mirror brings a famous fairy tale to life with a fresh new look at an age old competition between maturity and fresh blossoming beauty.

Straight out of the DC Comics we find that Batman is back for yet another installment of the series brought to us by Christopher Nolan, writer, producer, as well as director. This is the third and supposedly last in the series from Nolan.
