There is a Frank Oz film "Death at a Funeral" of 2007 which stills is one of the best comedies ever. And there is the Nile LaBute's remake "Death at a Funeral" of 2010 which as it turned out was not confounded the original, and at one point even outrides it. Screenwriter of both projects is the same Craig Dean, so you should not expect the different approach to story. Hence, a logical question: Why? Why was it necessary to do all the same, just change the white English actors on the better-known for global audience the black American stars, without even changing one of the key roles Peter Dinklage as a short blackmailer here and there?

Long title but somewhat short minded concept that seeks to show what might be best to do if, and when, the world comes to an end as we know it. Everyone knows the world will be coming to an abrupt end one of these days, probably sooner than later at the rate it's going now. But who's to say exactly how we should best spend our remaining days and hours? To each his own! Will romance be the goal and the ultimate end for dorky guys who salivate over cool chicks with whom they would otherwise never stand a snowballs chance with? Who would go to work and put in the best they can if the end is inevitably near? Why bother to even begin to try to impress others when it doesn't matter anyhow? Steve Carell (Crazy Stupid Love, The Office) is Dodge, a neighbor and friend of Penny (Keira Knightley from Atonement, Silk). The two of them team up after Dodge's wife runs off in a state of panic (who knows how we'll react?). They are in search of Dodge's high school sweetheart even though Penny severely cramps his style. Also starring are Patton Oswalt, Gillian Jacobs, and Connie Britton.

"Nothing Like the Holidays" is a 2008 American comedy-drama film about a Puerto Rican family living in Chicago. The movie follows the Rodriguez family as they reunite for the Christmas holidays. When the Farrelly Brothers set out to make a movie they always go for the humorous and predictable male ego (they're so easy). Guys like Rick (Owen Wilson) and Fred (Jason Sudeikis) are easy to manipulate and their wives certainly know how to "push their buttons". So when these long time best friends, with lots in common, become restless and bored with their home life, it's up to their long suffering wives to find a method of recharging their interest in home life. Both Rick's wife, portrayed by Jenna Fischer, and Jason's wife, played by Christina Applegate know what's on their men's devious little minds and give them a Hall Pass to go out and do whatever they wish for one week. This offering is something the two restless married men find mighty attractive until they realize their wives have plans to do the same thing with their time away from the men in their lives.Soon enough each individual finds their expectations may be set too low. A romantic comedy with great writing and a superb cast make Hall Pass (2011) one to watch and perhaps learn something from the message."

"Crazy Rich Asians" is a 2018 romantic comedy-drama film directed by Jon M. Chu and based on Kevin Kwan's 2013 novel of the same name. The film features an all-Asian cast and tells the story of Rachel Chu, an American-born Chinese professor who travels to Singapore with her boyfriend, Nick Young, to attend his best friend's wedding and meets his wealthy family for the first time. As Rachel navigates the social complexities of Nick's world, she faces many challenges and conflicts that force her to confront her own identity and values.

In the center of the Ramona and Beezus movie are sisters Quimby - Ramona (Joey King) and Beatrice (Selena Gomez), Beezus, as Beatrice nicknamed Ramona. Ramona - funny, crazy and unpredictable personality, and the academic success is not her strong side, but Beezus, unlike her younger sister: excellent pupil, beautiful and just perfect all over a girl. Because of its brisk nature of Ramona is often faced with misunderstanding others, especially in relations with Beezus. Sister quarrel over their different characters and totally opposite views on life, but, in fact, each of them to each other is jealous: Ramona wants to be perfect, as Beezus in her turn wants to be like Ramon, a person who is not wearing a mask in front of others.
