The Hangover numbers among those very few movies that can lay legitimate claim to the title "instant classic." As contrived, convoluted, twisted, silly, and slapstick as something woven from the three stooges meeting the Marx brothers, "The Hangover" nevertheless maintained its sincerity and inspired audiences' sympathy for the poor slobs they were watching screw-up at every available opportunity. Among the numbers in the dangerous stunts there is a tether ball, played with a hive full of bees African, a tooth being extracted with a Lamborghini, the use of a special glue to rip off the hairs from the chest and much more. The final stunt showcases Steve-O launched inside a portable toilet using the banjo jumping ropes. The final sequence was made with a technique quite similar to the starting one, but in this case the viewer relates a series of explosions in slow motion and at the end of it, a flood is simulated with the cast that is completely submerged. Just as in the last two films, Rip Taylor makes announcing the end of the film before you see the credits. Thanks to Carey's and McGregor's sensitive, poignant portrayal of the characters and the script's ample good humor, "I Love You, Phillip Morris" is just a really good movie about a couple of men in love.
