127 hours is a drama movie with a significant portion of thriller. The Movie was released in 2010 and starred James Franco. It was directed and by written by Danny Boyle in association with Simon Beaufoy. 127 hours is completely based on the real story of Aron Ralston, a professional mountain climber who was cached in a trap by a massive rock drop. To rescue himself he amputated one of his arms after a five days surviving in hostile conditions. The movie follows the same story. In 2003, Aron Ralston (James Franco) was climbing in a remote canyon in Utah (United States) and a rock caught his arm. Only his accident strangers Megan (Amber Tamblyn) and Christie (Kate Mara) know where you can be, since met him minutes before. Equipped, with the video camera and a pocket knife only, Ralston seems to have the hours counted his life. His right forearm was pinned under a large stone block and was there for almost five days, until realized that the place where it was not rescued. Then he decided to cut his right forearm with a small knife. Then he wrapped his stump and climbed a hill to find a family who was so close, but knowing nothing about his drama…

Based on factual events this film pits a pair of young enthusiastic attorneys against the established big money of the pharmaceutical industry. When an ER nurse is accidently pricked when handling a contaminated needle, the law firm which handles personal injury claims becomes involved. Mike Weiss, who is played by Chris Evans (Street Kings, Push), is young and dedicated even though he also happens to be a drug addict works for a Houston law firm that's main specialty is handling personal injury claims. His partner Paul Danziger (Mark Kassen of Bernard and Doris, The Sasquatch Gang) who also directs Puncture also works what could be their case of a lifetime. They take on the case involving a hospital ER nurse named Vicky (Vinessa Shaw from Two Lovers, Stag Night) who accidently stuck herself with a syringe. Seems the big drug companies prevent the use of safer syringes to ward off such accidents happening. They seem willing to risk permanent and sometimes fatal results without consideration for others.ach year millions risk infection and contamination by such diseases as Hepatitis C and even HIV when accidental pricks occur. This time around there are two young lawyers who care enough to pursue it to a settlement even though it stretches their law firms business to near collapse. This even takes on international proportions because of the millions who die each year in Africa due to faulty syringes.

Back when World War I was about to begin so was an odd friendship between Psychiatrist Sigmund Freud and a young fledgling shrink, Carl Jung. There is also a beautiful woman that creates conflicts between the two men and also the fact that psychoanalysis is in its formative years. This combination makes for some rather dangerous methods of treating mental patients and those who can't quite cope with society. Canadian director David Cronenberg (The Brood, Scanners) may be somewhat out of his element with this story because it's more talky than his usual action packed films. Starring Viggo Mortensen (The Lord of the Rings series) as Freud, Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Basterds, Fish Tank) as Jung, and Keira Knightley (Atonement, Pirates of the Caribbean series) as the beautiful Sabina Spielrein, the woman who comes between Jung and Freud. She eventually became a successful therapist in her own right. Considered a historical film, A Dangerous Method deals with what happened back when psychotherapy was in its infancy and how psychiatrists learned how to best help those with mental problems.

The American is a contemplative movie, yet unhurried and relaxed. Anton Korbeyn, who previously filmed only music videos, directed the movie ideally for the Clooney manner of playing. And that he succeeded. "Perhaps the director's fascination with photography was reflected in the "The American". The film is filled with static plans, where the sound is not important. In terms of speech: it is composed of multicolored mosaic of Italian and English, and the latter felt quite out of place, as the killer himself is an American lost somewhere in Italy in a small quiet town. Minor characters are also transmitted perfectly. There are two faces: a prostitute fallen in a true love, and a priest with a dark spot in his heart, that's a circle of acquaintances of the person cannot make friends. "The only thing that stands out from the track is the ending. During the movie could be the same hope for happy ending, or wait for the sad ending, and the result is an incomprehensible jumble. "But "The American" is an excellent movie, which in case you want to look for a second time, did not enjoy the story, or tricks with the shooting, and a serene image with an already old Clooney as the central figure. The idea of The Master, which was filmed and released in 2012, could be traced back in 2000, when, as it was reported that Paul Thomas Anderson had the plans to create the movie about The Church of Scientology. However, the issues with the financing have blocked the implementation of conception until The Weinstein Company alongside with Megan Ellison, daughter of billionaire Larry Ellison (co-owner of Oracle Corporation), secured the financing of The Master in full. Likewise it has been some rumors that the movie was stalled because of too much of truth about The Church of Scientology has been revealed by Paul Thomas Anderson when he showcased The Cause sect (which was definitely prototyped from The Church of Scientology) in his movie. And because Hollywood has lots of influential and high-powered scientologists in his womb they have, allegedly, throw sand in the wheels of The Master filming and financing. In spite of the fact that The Church of Scientology Officials have rejected these rumors to be true and repeatedly insisted on their indifference concerning this movie, we have lots of doubts about it. The movie rather colorfully describes the sect and its leader Lancaster Dodd, whose personality was clearly copied from Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard and very plausible displayed by talented performance of Philip Seymour Hoffman. You may be familiar with him by the roles in Moneyball, where he played Art Howe and in The Ides of March (Paul Zara). Dodd's apprentice, Freddie Sutton, who has climbed to the top of "The Cause" hierarchy suddenly starts to doubt about his teacher's belief, more and more being convinced the all he has to believe to is nothing more than fruits of his teacher's sick fantasies.
