RT (formerly Russia Today) is a Russia's first 24h international news channel broadcasting in English language. RT TV channel is funded by Russian Government and designed to "reflect Russia's position on major issues of international politics" and "inform the audience about news and events in Russian life". As it was said by Chief Editor of RT television channel, Margarita Simonyan : Foreign media not always adequately reflect the events in Russia. The first thing, according to studies, comes to mind for foreigners at the word "Russia" are "communism", "snow" and "poverty." We would like to present a more diverse picture of life in our country... We will try to show Russia as a foreigner to see it when coming into the country. RT was funded by the budget of Russian Federation, which allocated $ 30 million annually from 2005 till 2009. RT features quite diverse political and news programming alongside with cultural documentaries. News is the main RT news program, which is airing every half-an-hour. Another news program, Business is covering world major economical news; the program also features brief review of the Russian business news. RT TV also has two interview programs. IRINN (or Islamic Republic of Iran News Network) is Iranian news television network which consists of three channels with flagship TV channel with the same name IRINN. IRINN TV is owned and operated by Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Management. IRINN is dedicated to broadcast newscasts with 20 hours and 30 minutes a day for 24 hours per day. FOX 9 TV channel also known as KMSP-TV Twin Cities is the FOX-owned news TV station with the history dating back to mid-1950. Now it is content-rich television channel broadcasting nationwide and accessible worldwide in Internet as FOX 9 live. Fox 9 News programming includes the series of newscasts: FOX9 Morning News, FOX9 Buzz and FOX at Five, FOX9 News Nine, FOX at 10 and FOX9 Sports Primetime. Streamed live on the internet, Hellenic TV 2 offers programming to the Greek speaking audience and got its beginning back in 1982 in London that came from a need to provide coverage in the native tongue of Greeks who appreciated not needing a translation. Based today in Harringey, Hellenic TV 2 began when cable television first arrived in the UK. After eight years of truly hard and devoted work the channel became a reality as the first non-English speaking television channel in the UK to be granted the broadcasting license. Concerts, feature films, and plenty of locally produced and entertaining programming have been appreciated by the Greek speaking audience of loyal followers each evening. Daytime programs include daily transmissions of ERT and RIK. All programming is viewable by any age and is much appreciated for the concert performances that might otherwise be missed. Tony Curry who represents the ITC has commended the programming on Hellenic TV, stating they produce so much for so few people it is amazing.
