Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is a 2024 live-action Disney+ series created by Jon Watts — director of the Spider-Man: Homecoming trilogy — and Christopher Ford. Set in the same post-Return of the Jedi era as The Mandalorian, the series follows four children from the sheltered, isolated planet of At Attin who are accidentally launched into the wider galaxy — a vast, dangerous, and bewildering place they have been raised to know nothing about. The show channels the spirit of 1980s adventure films like The Goonies and E.T., transposing that sensibility onto the Star Wars canvas with unusual tonal warmth.

The four young protagonists — Wim (Ravi Cabot-Bolger), Fern (Ryan Kiera Armstrong), KB (Kyriana Kratter), and Neel (Robert Timothy Smith) — provide both the humor and the emotional stakes. Jude Law plays Jod Na Nawood, a morally ambiguous figure they encounter in the outer reaches of the galaxy who becomes their reluctant guide. The adult world the children navigate is populated by pirates, criminals, and remnants of the Empire's infrastructure — a texture that gives their perspective genuine weight, since they are navigating actual consequences rather than sanitized adventure.

Skeleton Crew received strong reviews as one of the most tonally distinctive entries in the Star Wars television universe — a show willing to be small, character-driven, and emotionally sincere in ways that the franchise's larger productions sometimes sacrifice to spectacle. Jude Law's performance was consistently praised as the season's best element, a character whose alignment remains genuinely uncertain for the majority of the run. The show streams exclusively on Disney+.

Sci-Fi & Fantasy
When you and your family just move into a luxurious gated community, all you have to expect are tranquility, peace and mutual respect of all the neighbors. But, what if "all of the neighbors" are the alien forms of extraterrestrial life, and you and your beloved ones are the only humans in this "society"? What will you do? Claim your real estate agent to cancel the contract? Pass all the extraterrestrials to FBI to conduct the inhumane experiments? No, you will teach them humanity and learn from them how to be a "good family" instead. Exactly as Weaver family does in this weird and sometimes "goofy" television series, The Neighbors centered on their unusual life among the aliens. But don't consider their neighbors some sort of ugly monsters"¦ Oh, yeah, of course they have some green goo ejaculated from ears when they cry, and, of course, they prefer to eat using eyes, not mouth, but they so adorable! So, you have ever intent to pass them to official for some cruel test, please, don't do it! Although, the TV show has gained mostly negative receptions from critics, it worth watching for many reasons. First of all it was created by legendary Dan Fogelman, and all the critics negative reviews are just a result of high expectations for these series. The second reason is the ensemble cast: the star of Entourage, Modern Family, Still Standing and ER - Jami Gertz looks natural in the extraterrestrial surrounding of Ningning Deng, Tracy Weisert and Mobin Khan.
