Fiercely reminiscent of Lord of the Rings and at least as complicated, HBO's "Game of Thrones'" chronicles the genuinely epic story of seven noble families' struggles over control of Westeros, their mythical homeland. Observing all the properly epic conventions, and developing truly epic heroes and villains, "The Game of Thrones" was adapted for television from George Martin's fantasy novel, Song of Ice and Fire. The ten-episode series weaves together seventeen major characters' political and sexual schemes, mixing-in plenty of knightly sword-play and lots of nightly trysts. Mark Addy, Peter Dinklage, Iain Glen, Jennifer Ehle, Lena Headey, and Sean Bean lead a powerful cast. Shot entirely on location in Ireland, "Game of the Thrones" is as beautiful as it is complex and treacherous, and the landscape lends itself to The Game's mystic and horrible undertones. While the Lannister and Stark families challenge the Baratheon family's rule, "an ancient evil awakes," and only a band of renegade knights errant stands between Westeros and "the horrors beyond the realms of men." Somehow, in "Game of Thrones'" far away medieval realm, civil war and imminent apocalypse look a lot more noble, sexy, and glamorous than they appear in the post-modern world.

Arguably the best medical drama in television history, House thrives on genius writing and equally brilliant acting. Set in a teaching hospital at Princeton University, the show builds its plots around complicated, complex, elusive, credulity-straining diseases and a team of diagnosticians willing to move heaven and earth to find their causes and treatments. Long-time House fans eventually demystify the show’s dramatic formula, which devotes the first third to diagnosis and discovery, the middle third to trial and which seem to lead to a cure, and then the climactic ending which undoes all the drama of the first two thirds, curing the disease by revealing The Truth. Hugh Laurie plays Dr. Gregory House to perfection, sustaining the tension and contradiction between House’s arrogance and his irresistible compulsion to save people from their illnesses and often from themselves. "The Girl from Plainville" is a five-part television miniseries based on the true story of Michelle Carter, a teenager from Plainville, Massachusetts. The series follows the events leading up to the death of Conrad Roy, Michelle's boyfriend, who died by suicide in 2014. Michelle was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for encouraging Conrad to take his own life through text messages and was sentenced to 15 months in jail.

Her last chance is her next promo tour, which she has no chances to fail, just because if she fails, her future career as country music star will be very questionable if possible at all. To make chances higher, Rayna takes in her tour, a young starlet Juliette Barnes, whose young sexy power is expected to be in some help to make Rayna's promotion more effective. There are no doubts that both singers are pursuing their own goals. If, the first one wants not to fade away from stardom, the second one wants to take her place in the stage. The next problem is that Rayna's father, Lamar Wyatt, who is powerful politician and a wealthy man of Nashville, seems to be disapproved in Ryana's abilities to regain her stardom glory. As a controlling patriarch he's betting on Rayna's husband, Teddy Conrad, who was living on Rayna's revenues, and now is trying to make a career as mayor of Nashville (thanks to help of a father-in-law). Such a twisted plot is accompanied by masterfully selected and combined ensemble cast: Ryana James is played by Connie Britton (a Vivien Harmon in American Horror Story and Diane Huxley in 24 television series), while the young teenage music star Juliette Barnes, is played by Hayden Panettiere (Kirby Reed in Scream franchise.)

Big Love TV show is the controversial drama on HBO that gives a bird's eye view of polygamy and its participants without being discriminatory. The show centers around a man named Bill Henrickson and his three wives; Barb, Nicki and Margene as well as their nine children, all fathered by Bill. After being banished from his home by the prophet, Nicki's father, Bill struggles to live following his polygamous beliefs while appearing normal to the outside world as the owner of a home improvement store chain. Meanwhile Bill has to deal with not just one wife at home, but three as they all compete for his time and attention.
