Who says symbiosis cannot be funny? Co-dependency typically is tragic; reciprocity generally is wistful and romantic. "Peep Show" affords viewers a rare and privileged glimpse into perfect coincidence and complement. "Peep Show" pairs the proper and respectable, reasonably successful but socially inept Mark Corrigan with Jeremy Lisbourne, an unemployed musician who makes-up in narcissism and self-confidence what he lacks in musical talent. Of course, Jeremy's irrepressible optimism complements Mark's relentless pessimism. Of course, Mark's cynicism and lassitude provoke Jeremy's vaguely manic enthusiasm. Of course, women terrify Mark, encouraging Jeremy to tutor him in the subtle arts of grace and seduction. One could not survive without the other; and in this intricately inter-dependent environment, "Peep Show's" comedy flourishes. Early in 2011, "Peep Show" earned the title "longest-running sit-com on British Television's Channel 4." To the best of our knowledge, they award no nifty statuette for that, but it represents a considerable honour"”at least as big as the show's BAFTA awards. "Peep Show's" style showcases its writers' talents, because it features point of view shots with Mark and Jeremy's thoughts revealed in voice-overs.

Maddie and Ben have been dating (and living together as a couple) for the past nine years and appear to be content with their living arrangements. Neither is quite ready to take the next obvious step which would be marriage. Several relationships are involved and this family, while close knit find their world turned upside down by the announcement that Maddie's younger sister Mia is pregnant and even though she has only known her boyfriend seven weeks, is making plans to marry him. Maddie is stunned when she sees that her parents approve of the news. Now it's time for Ben and Maddie to wonder if they should advance their own relationship or simply allow it to remain stagnant. Maddie Putney is played by Jennifer Finnigan (The Bold and the Beautiful), Mia Putney is portrayed by Joanna Garcia (Reba), Ben Coles is played by Josh Cooke (Without A Trace). Rounding out the cast are Kurt Fuller as Joel Putney the father and Debra Jo Rupp as mom Vicky Putney. This thoroughly entertaining situation comedy is always filled with light hearted fun and romantic involvements.

At the time "Rules of Engagement" premiered on CBS, the network's average viewer was fifty-three years old and more devoted to "60 Minutes" than sexy badinage. Although committed to The Eye's Monday night youth movement, a few programming executives worried that David Spade's first-episode proclamation, "I do what I want. I date who I want. And I sleep with whoever will let me," would tank the new sit-com before it found its legs and voice. Instead, "Rules of Engagement" became a Monday night mainstay, a natural complement to "Two-and-a-Half Men" and "How I Met Your Mother." According to one pundit, "Rules of Engagement" shows "the three stages of sit-com love," comparing and contrasting a scoundrelly, scamming bachelor with both a love-struck, starry-eyed newly engaged couple and a jaded, open-eyed, realistic couple married to one another approximately forever. Although plots generally center on the fiancees, Jeff and Audrey, veterans of marriage, often save the show from life-threatening boredom. Patrick Warburton, poker-faced and intoning his lines in a deliciously monotone bass, makes the perfect foil to Russell, the bachelor's manic sex machine and Adam's ingenuousness.

"Adam Ruins Everything" is a television show that aired from 2015 to 2019, hosted by Adam Conover. In each episode, Adam debunks common misconceptions and myths that people believe to be true. The show uses humor and research to educate viewers on topics such as history, science, and politics.
