The creators of Awesome Show, Eric Wareheim and Tim Heidecker also control the reins on this fun show, which is often surrealistic, satirical, and always entertaining. Watch for the faux-commercials for they are bizarre and often poke fun at the industry. It has been described as a nightmare version (as seen by us the audience) of the television industry itself. Wareheim and Heidecker's previous offering to television, Tom Goes to the Mayor, provides several of the comedy skits as well as repeat characters borrowed from their original show. A news channel correspondent, played by John C. Reilly, and "Weird Al" Yankovic, who's gravelly voice add humor to skits like the "Uncle Muscles Hour" and it's all done in fun"¦ truly hilarious!

There are plenty of "cop" shows on television currently but one truly stands out as being totally entertaining and that one is Memphis Beat. Comedy, action, and some really good acting as well as scripts that stand out from the rest make for an hour's worth of enjoyment every week. Memphis Beat stars Jason Lee (My Name is Earl, Clerks II) as Memphis PD detective Dwight Hendricks, the self proclaimed "keeper of Memphis". He has several women in his life including his mother Paula Hendricks who is played by Celia Weston (Knight and Day, Modern Family), Memphis PD lieutenant Tanya Rice (Alfre Woodard from Desperate Housewives, Star Trek: First Contact), and an ex-wife Alex (played by Sunny Mabrey from Mad Men, Rules of Engagement) who shows up now and then. He has his hands full with each of these three women but his job seems to be a relief from personal life. Memphis Beat shows the southern charm and easy way of life of the south and even brings in some Elvis Presley music along the way. George Clooney is executive producer.

The show is centered around an African-American family, the Johnsons, who live in the wealthy and predominantly white neighborhood of Los Angeles. The series explores issues of race, class, and identity in a comedic way, while also touching on more serious topics.

Always busy actor, writer, producer, stand up comedian, musician, screen writer, and television personality Paul Reiser has a new project and with the title of The Paul Reiser Show it is obvious that he will have an invested part in this one, a sit-com that is about"¦ well"¦ Paul Reiser. He wrote the scripts, produces, and stars as himself (sort of) as the show is somewhat autobiographical. Paul (Mad About You, Curb Your Enthusiasm) portrays a former TV star who chooses to return to the small screen after years of staying home and taking it easy while spending "quality" time with his wife and children. With a bit of help from his friends Paul searches for just the right "big thing" that can get his creative juices flowing again. Amy Landecker (Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Louie) is Claire, Paul's wife. Friends Jonathan played by Ben Shenkman (Law & Order), Habib played by Omid Djalili (Gladiator, The Mummy), and Fernando portrayed by Duane Martin (Ghost Whisperer, All of Us) help Paul get back into the groove and return to what he loves which is acting and being funny. Paul Reiser is a very funny (not to mention multi-talented) guy!
