The Surgeon, one of a series of books written by Tess Gerritsen supplied the backstory for the hot new series on TNT named Rizzoli & Isles (after the two main characters in the book). Angie Harman (Baywatch Nights, Law & Order) is a homicide detective in Boston. She finds her life in danger in the first episode when a former medical student attempts to kill her as he has several other voluptuous women. The chief Medical examiner for the state of Massachusetts is Dr. Maura Isles, played by Sasha Alexander (NCIS, Dawson's Creek). Isles is a no nonsense woman dedicated to doing her job well and due to her profession those who know her tend to call her "Queen of the Dead". Rizzoli & Isles develop a good teamwork attitude and solve crimes each week but the one that haunts them both involves Charles Hoyt, a man who was expelled from med school for fondling the female corpses. Rizzoli has scars on her hands from a time when Hoyt stabbed them with scalpels, pinning her to the floor. Hoyt's role is a recurring one so watch for more of that vile character played well by Michael Massee, an actor who plays villains particularly well.

"Body of Proof" will bring at least one more strong female lead to network television, bringing the sum total to approximately two. Too bad they will compete head-to-head in the same time-slot; good thing we have DVRs. "We need to have more smart women characters on television," says Dana Delany as she prepares to play medical examiner Megan Hunt in ABC's new drama, "Body of Evidence." As plots unfold on the new show, Dr. Megan Hunt's brilliance never will become an issue"”if anything she sometimes is too smart for her own good; but her compassion and human kindness frequently will be in doubt. Promos for "Body of Evidence" are slick, stylish, sexy, and sassy. Ms. Delany looks seductively into the camera, promising, "Don't believe everything you've heard. The truth is much worse." Adding even more spice and power, Jeri Ryan ends her peripatetic travels across the dial, settling down to play Dr. Kate Murphy, the medical examiner. Set for debut on March 29, 2011, "Body of Evidence" promises to become a Tuesday ten o'clock favourite.

"A Teacher" is a TV miniseries that explores the complex and controversial relationship between a high school teacher, Claire, and her student, Eric. The show follows their illicit affair over the course of several years, revealing the damaging impact it has on both of their lives.

"The Handmaid's Tale" is a TV series based on a novel of the same name by Margaret Atwood. It takes place in a dystopian society called Gilead, where a fundamentalist Christian group has overthrown the US government and created a new society based on strict religious laws. Women are treated as property, and many are forced to become "handmaids," whose sole purpose is to bear children for wealthy families.

Longmire storyline is loosely based on Craig Johnson's novels about old fashioned Sheriff of Absroka, Wyoming County. He widowed only a year ago and still hides his soul's pain underneath the unassuming grin and impassive face. He wears a true to type cowboy hat, leather boots and holstered gun. All these attributes makes him looking similar to Raylan Gyvens (Justified). But Longmire personality features quite different traits. But in opposite of brave, but somewhat reckless Raylan, he is much wiser, seasoned and experienced. He is accompanied by Victoria "Vic" Moretti, an ex-cop from Philadelphia Homicide Department, played by Katee Sackhoff. You may know her by roles in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Battlestar Galactica and Sexy Evil Genius (as Nikki Franklyn). The main intrigue about her is how the proficient Philly policewoman have stuck in the middle of the Wyoming boondocks. The next intrigue unfolds in the pilot episode, a murder which traced back to "The Res", an Indian reservation where white men's legislation have nothing to do with Indian traditions and laws. The third intrigue revolves around the person of Deputy Branch Connally who appears to represent the "shady" forces of Longmire's team.
