Drawn in retro-sixties comic book style, rendered irreverent and ironic by exceptionally good writing from "Simpsons" renegade Devin Clark, "Ugly Americans" TV show made its debut on Comedy Central during March, 2010. Matt Oberg lends his vocal stylings to the main character, Mark Lilly, harried social worker at the "Department of Integration," the all-purpose welfare agency for the citizens of a parallel-universe New York liberally populated with demons, zombies, wizards, monsters, and other chimerical creatures. Up-and-coming comedienne Natasha Leggero, one of Chelsea Handler's coterie, gives voice and life to Callie Maggotbone, Mark's immediate supervisor and sometimes lover. Callie claims distinction as the succubus daughter of the Devil and a human mother; not surprisingly, she is prone to extreme mood swings. Newcomer to the big-bad city, Mark, an intrepid optimist and wanna-be do-gooder, remains barbarously untutored in the ways of his city's multi-species immigrants, and his mistakes naturally multiply into comic misadventures. Hardly Saturday-morning kiddie fare, "Ugly Americans" deals as directly and explicitly with characters' bizarre sexual proclivities as with their sociopathy.

"Bob's Burgers" re-opened on Main Street in its imaginary town just in time to fill a gap and restore the life in Fox Network's Sunday-night "Animation Domination" line-up. For at least three seasons, the animation had remained, but the domination drained away. "Bob's Burgers" brought back the disaffected viewers, immediately scoring excellent ratings and even better reviews. Of course, local restaurateur Bob has a troubled family; who doesn't? Unlike the Simpsons, your favourite family guy, and the folks in Cleveland's neighbourhood, however, Bob's family doesn't even put-up a pretence to reconciliation and love. Why would they? They are far funnier when they fight. Each character is as flat as the simple drawings that bring the people to life: Bob's wife Tina idealizes marriage. Daughters Louise and Linda are a trouble-maker and a freak respectively; and son Gene is the avatar of all things loud and obnoxious. The simple stuff works because the writers and animators have talent and skill to play it to the max. "Bob's Burgers" has the right ingredients in the right proportions"”spectacular writing combines with simple-but-engaging animation as expert comedians deliver the lines even better than the writers intended. One critic, pointing out the characters' "lovability," noted, "Two minutes into the second episode, countless winning jokes already have hit the mark." Wow, an animated series that actually delivers what the viewers crave? What a concept!

And just might prove to be the better choice as far as the entertainment factor goes! Animation today is far better due to some CG effects. Taking up where the 2004 movie left us, Napoleon Dynamite follows along with the adventures of Preston, Idaho resident Napoleon Dynamite as well as his family friends and some new characters as well. Napoleon is a teenage boy just sixteen year old who just happens to be multi talented. Being quite good at drawing, dancing, and always practicing his ninja moves, he also claims to have a girlfriend back in Oklahoma. He has a brother named Kip who is 32 and still lives at home. Kip is always trying to meet up with girls on the internet. The brothers live with their grandmother who spends much of her time with friends four wheeling on sand dunes. Napoleon is voiced by Jon Heder and other voices include Aaron Ruell, Tina Majorino, Diedrich Bader, Sandy Martin, and Efren Ramirez.
