When Marnie Was There is a 2014 Japanese animated film produced by Studio Ghibli. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Joan G. Robinson and tells the story of Anna, a young girl who befriends a mysterious girl named Marnie during her summer stay in a seaside town. As Anna learns more about Marnie, she begins to uncover the secrets of her own past and family.

Animated feature film Brave is the latest 3D flick to come from the Disney stables and it appears to be a winner! True to legend there are curses and witches who bestow them on the innocent. When Princess Merida, who is a skilled archer, defied an ancient custom she found out how badly her actions were taken when the lords of the land unleashed a beastly curse on her. When Merida consults with an old wise woman she advises her by granting an ill fated wish that brings on a beastly curse. Now Merida must find a way to remove her curse and it will take bravery on her part to convince the wicked old witch to take it back. Along the way she encounters such characters as Lord Dingwall (Robbie Contrane from the Harry Potter series), and Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd from Made of Honor, Hannibal Rising). Her parents King Fergus (Billy Connolly from Billy Connolly's Route 66, Gulliver's Travels) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson from Sense and Sensibility, Howard's End) know their daughter to be impetuous but also brave and skilled as an archer so they allow her to live her own life and travel down her own chosen path as she learns about the rewards of bravery.

My Neighbor Totoro is a Japanese animated film about two young sisters who move to the countryside with their father to be closer to their mother who is recovering from an illness. The film was directed by Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. It was released in 1988 and has since become a beloved classic.

Computer animated comedies are usually visually stunning and often funny as well. These Madagascar movies, with this one being the third in the popular series, are especially entertaining and amusing. Familiar voices and some that you think you might recall fill this film with plenty of amusing dialog while you watch the antics of a Lion, Zebra, Hippo, and Giraffe that are attempting to return to New York after they escape from confinement in Africa. The group get sidetracked and soon wind up in Monte Carlo. But the Siberian tiger helps guide them back state side. Voices you may recognize include Ben Stiller as the Lion Alex, Chris Rock as the Zebra Marty, David Schwimmer does Melman a Giraffe, and as Gloria the Hippo you will hear the voice of Jada Pinkett Smith. Also Cedric the Entertainer does the voice for Maurice and Sacha Baron Cohen (Borat) is King Julien XIII. Listen for a voice from the past to play a Norway Lemming named Freddie. Martin Milner starred in Adam-12 and Route 66 back in the 1960's. This may be the most fun and adventurous Madagascar movie yet so don't miss it!

In order to please his father Santa, young Arthur Christmas needs to personally deliver a gift to a very sad young girl who has nearly given up hope of ever having a Merry Christmas again. He gets help from Grandsanta (Santa's father) and Byrony, an employee from the Giftwrap Battalion who is a low ranking elf at the North Pole). They must make the delivery before Christmas morning after it missed the Christmas Eve deadline. Arthur has only an old sled to get him there and many roadblocks along the way, including those who go along to help. Fantastic Mr. Fox is one of the most anticipated animated films of 2009. The interest to the project arose long before its world premiere - even with the same time, as in the information leaked that Wes Anderson will be a new director the cartoon. This news was received as a sensation by the majority of moviegoers.
