Transcendence is a serious science fiction film which explores questions of mortality, technological overreach, and responsibility. Johnny Depp plays Dr. Will Caster, a dying A.I. researcher, who transfers his emotions and personality to an A.I. interface with the help of his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall). This experiment bestows near-omnipotent power on The Will Caster A.I., but as one might expect with any person who has died and been resurrected, Dr. Caster is no longer quite the same man. As Dr. Caster's quest for knowledge morphs into a quest for power, it dawns on his fellow researchers that they may be helpless to stop him. While Transcendence received mixed reviews, the film's distinctive visuals were widely praised, as well as its willingness to confront major questions of our time.

One of the major delights of the 2012 movie is an epic picture of the destruction of the solid earth, when thousands of people scattered in panic from the falling down of skyscrapers, where the oceans come from the coast, and lava avalanches sweep out the cities and countries. In 2012, the apocalypse comes at its best; Emmerich tried hard to give a picture of the destruction of the giant swing, and the fact he succeeded. The visual side of the movie is flawless. But the dramatic side sometimes fails in the illogic, strained and unnecessary confusion. Too complicated scenario building only distract from the excellent graphic component that unfolds in the 2012.

"District 9" is a 2009 science fiction film directed by Neill Blomkamp. The movie is set in a fictional universe where a group of aliens have landed on Earth and are forced to live in a slum-like district in South Africa. The film follows the story of a government agent named Wikus van de Merwe, who is tasked with evicting the aliens from their homes.

And, here it is – Warner Bros attempts to bring brand new hit to young adult audience with film adaptation of Kami Garcia's and Margaret Stohl's Beautiful Creatures, a young adult novel which has gotten some very rave reviews in 2009 when it was published by Little, Brown, and Company. So, WB hopes to put a beginning of new money making movie series, by not only taking the very promising book as a storyline but gathering most talented actors to star in the new film. The main protagonist Ethan Wate is portrayed by Alden Ehrenreich, who was "discovered" by Stiven Spielberg and starred in Melanie Shaw's Running Wild and Chan-wook Park's Stoker at the time of Beautiful Creatures release. His character Ethan tries to escape a boring reality of a teenager living in the dead end of the small town. At one day Ethan awakes after a recurring dream about unknown girl. He listens a creepy-hypnotic song called Sixteen Moons on his iPad then smelsl a quite surprising aroma of rosemary and lemon coming from nowhere and goes to school to know that there is a new girl in his class. Meanwhile, returning home he almost runs over this new girl standing in the middle of the road. He hears the familiar Sixteen Moons playing in her car and smells and notes of rosemary and lemon from her hair. Soon, he learns that this new girl is a kind of sorceress, a Caster, and his dream somehow connected with the destiny of this girl. Her name is Lena (Alice Englert) and she is about her sixteen birthday when she has to decide which part of magic force she belongs: Light or Dark.

Written by John Landis and his son, Max, Chronicle takes the audience on a rollercoaster ride of adventure as we watch three teenaged boys who learn they are developing superpowers after exposure to some mysterious substances while walking through the woods nearby their homes. Typical of many teenagers these boys find they have a rather dark side to their personalities when their strange and powerful new capabilities become increasingly strong. They each must decide how best to handle their powers and while impressive, they can also be dangerous to themselves and others. ohn Landis is well known as director of such fun and entertaining movies as Animal House and American Werewolf in London and now teams up with his son, Max to come up with this delightful film. Shot in a pretend documentary style, and using hand held cameras (think Blair Witch Project), Chronicle is entertaining and enlightening.tars Michael B. Jordan (Parenthood, Lie To Me), Dane DeHaan (In Treatment, True Blood), and Alex Russell (Wasted on the Young, Almost Kings) are the three young men who find their lives changed forever by the mysterious substance they encounter in the woods.

It's a third appearance of Chris Hemsworth as mighty Thor after Kenneth Branagh's Thor filmed in 2011 and Joss Whedon's The Avengers filmed in 2012. The story of Alan Taylor's Thor: The Dark World is a direct sequel of the first movie and it takes place just year after the events of The Avengers. Now Thor stands against the ancient evil embodied in Malekith and his henchmen. This concentrated evil existed even before the history of our Galaxy has began. And there are no forces neither in Asgard nor on Earth to withstand them. Once again the destiny of the whole world is in Thor's hands. Once again he has to come back to Earth and fight with Malekith. When he meets his passion, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), his quest becomes more complicated – to rescue his love interest and save both Earth and Asgard. As for ensemble cast it's quite clear that previous movies successes inspired producers to inflate the budget significantly, besides the actors which were starring in the first movie Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Ray Stevenson, Idris Elba, Kat Dennings, Rene Russo and Anthony Hopkins there some new Hollywood stars: Christopher Eccleston (Doctor Who, Heroes, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (The Thing, Killer Elite, Faster), Zachary Levi (Stuntmen, Shades of Ray), and Tadanobu Asano (Battleship, 47 Ronin).
