Description

The Cove follows former dolphin trainer Ric O’Barry, director Louie Psihoyos and a specialist team as they document the dolphin hunt hidden from public view in Taiji, Japan. The film combines covert-camera work, environmental reporting and an on-the-ground operation rather than presenting a conventional nature documentary.

Roadside Attractions opened the PG-13 documentary in Los Angeles and New York on July 31, 2009, and it later won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. Google Play currently lists a U.S. rental and purchase option, while Apple TV maintains a matching U.S. title page.
