Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a 2010 movie directed by Edgar Wright, who showcases not only a picture of the heroes in action, but also the sounds with which these actions are carried out, all the "bang" and "boom", and countless "ah-ah-ah!". Needles to say, that he manages to put everything together in the true style of real Englishman. He divides the frame into two, three, four, and so on often as much parts as he wants. He stuffs each episode with jokes and paints it all the colors, playfully borrowed this trick from "Speed Racer" the Wachowski brothers. It seems that Wright has decided to participate in this game seriously. Therefore, the scoring or the level of vital force, occurring on the screen for each victory, looks completely natural, and the "Scott Pilgrim" is perfectly-designed pattern. Could you imagine that Oz: The Great and Powerful, which is loosely based in L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was planned to be filmed by Disney since 1937? The rights for this movie was sold and resold for many times before, finally, Walt Disney Production acquired them and signed a contract with Sam Raimi to direct the film. Disney's series of decisions to reduce the filming costs had lead to unsuccessful negotiations with Robert Downey, Jr. and Johnny Depp for the leading role of Oscar Diggs/Oz, till, finally, James Franco was chosen for the role. You may remember him as Will Rodman form Rise of the Planet of the Apes. As the movie is the prequel for the core story The Wizard of Oz, there are no lovely Dorothy Gale, instead we have three witches. The Wicked Witch of the West, Theodora is portrayed by Mila Kunis which recently has had leading roles in Hell & Back and Friends with Benefits). Evanora The Wicked Witch of the East and the Ruler of the Munchkin Country is played by Rachel Weisz (The Bourne Legacy, To the Wonder); she inferiors in power of magic with Glinda the Good Witch of the South which is most powerful sorceress of Oz and is the ruler of the Quadling Country. In Disney's version of Oz: The Great and Powerful, Glinda is portrayed by Michelle Williams, which was quite smart decision, taking in consideration the amazing performance of Michelle Williams in My Week with Marilyn as Marilyn Monroe.

The Long Kiss Goodnight is a 1996 American action thriller film directed by Renny Harlin and starring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson. The film follows Samantha Caine, a schoolteacher suffering from amnesia, who discovers she was once a skilled assassin. As she tries to uncover her past, she teams up with a detective named Mitch Henessey to confront her former employers and prevent a terrorist attack.

Ian McShane (Kings, Pillars of the Earth) is King Brahmwell, father of the princess who hates to see his royal daughter falling for the lowly farm boy. Jack the Giant Killer will be a fun fairy tale come to life on the big screen!

In a small silent American city five are shot dead. The local policemen make a rapid investigation and quickly arrest the culprit. It seems like everything is clear and the case is closed. But the guy accused in five death makes a strange declaration in front of cameras "Get Jack Reacher", claiming himself innocent. The crystal clear case turns out to be a complicated chain of events, when Reacher, who saw the accused man's request, heads to the city in order to restore the justice. The movie is solely based on Lee Child's series of novels about the giant military professional Jack Reacher. In the Christopher McQuarrie's movie Jack is portrayed by Tom Cruise. Although Cruise is not as tall as Jack Reacher described in Lee Child's books, he manages the role in very persuasive way. Furthermore, Tom looks perfectly adequate for the role of Reacher, mostly because we are to accustomed to his previous roles as special agents or military professionals in the movies like Valkyrie, Knight and Day, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.
