In the year of 1939, the King and Queen of United Kingdom, George VI and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon are visiting New York to seek the help from America in a forthcoming War with Germany. The success of their voyage is totally dependent on negotiation with the President of the United States, Franklin Delano Roosevelt who has invited the Royals to his residence - Hyde Park on Hudson. Meanwhile, FDR himself is experiencing hard times with domestic policy and low ratings of trust. The situation is even getting worse when Margaret Suckley, a Roosevelt's mistress and distant cousin joins him alongside with his wife and children to ensure the pleasant stay of royal couple during the weekend. This crucial parley is going to turn out to be the fateful pivot point both of the world history and FDR and Margaret relationships. Few people know ins and outs of this historical meeting and Roger Michell's movie, Hyde Park on Hudson, unfolds the truth about it. It showcases lots of funny moments (just imagine facial expression of Royals, when Margaret announces hot dogs as main dish of the lunch), misapprehensions at the edge of fouls and lots of other objectionable situations FDR and Margaret masterly get out from. The right chemistry between the perfectly selected actors and actress make this movie definitely delicious and easy to watch. Franklin D. Roosevelt is portrayed by Bill Murray. A 65-th Cannes festival nominee, David Cronenberg's movie ambitiously named Cosmopolis showcases the one day of unpredictable life of young billionaire portrayed by Robert Pattison. The previous movie of David Cronenberg, a biography thriller The Dangerous Method, presented David as perfect mastermind of psycho -packed dramas, and Cosmopolis should not disappoint us. This also applies to Robert Pattison, a brilliant actor, and a rising star of Hollywood, whose mission to play thoughtful young men in the next ten years is apparently predetermined. But, let's go back the movie itself. Set in the Manhattan and filmed during the one month only, Cosmopolis reveals the inner side of richmen's life of New York city. A 28 years old financial prodigy Eric Packer (Robert Pattison) heads up to his hairdresser in super luxury limo rolling down the Manhattan streets. He can hardly imagine how his next 24 hours will turn out in this cosmopolitical metropolis. He'll cheat his wife. He'll be on the edge of losing his wealth and life. You know, everything can happen on the way to barber.

The Great Gatsby is the sixth adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel scheduled to release in December, 2012. Leonardo DiCaprio plays the central person of the screenplay Jay Gatsby, a millionaire whose "shady" fortune made the penniless man rich in several years. A love drama is hidden underneath of his maniacal lust for roaring parties he regularly organizes in his mansion, which he appears to purchase just because his "love of the whole life" lives nearby this place. She is portrayed by Carey Mulligan, Daisy met Jay Gatsby when he was poor, and successfully forgotten him after he has gone to War. Soon she has married Tom Buchanan (played by Joel Edgerton) and become Daisy Buchanan. Her husband Tom, as it turned out, has a mistress: Myrtle Wilson (Isla Fisher) and their relationships are moving very precipitously. Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) is the person who observes the ups and downs of this twisted love triangle and finally becomes the lonesome witness of the mournful finale of the story.

Somewhere is a movie that chronicles the life of actor Johnny Marco (Stephen Dorff), who was well known for his long stay in Hollywood's famous Chateau Marmont hotel and the endless stream of sexy women and drugs that stayed there with him. As he coasts through life while driving his Ferrari and partying hard he receives an unexpected surprise. His 11 year old daughter Chloe ends up at his hotel room door to get to know her dad. After spending some time with Chloe, Johnny is motivated to change the path his life is taking and clean up his act. Can Johnny finally do the right thing and be a good father to Chloe or does he do what he is best known for? Somewhere is a dramatic story about how a daughter can inspire a father to do the right thing.

If a wildlife lover peacefully cohabits in you together with a fan of such modern entertainment as IMAX, you'll enjoy this movie about the adventures of polar bears in the frosty arctic wilderness, for sure. Narrated by Meryl Streep, and shot in the best tradition of high-budget documentaries by Macgillivray Freeman Films and Warner Brothers Pictures, "To the Arctic 3D" was on a par with such famous films of its time about the wild nature as a Chimpanzee, The Cove, Planet Earth and The Big Miracle. Be sure to watch To the Arctic 3D online even if you are not so lucky to live in a radius of 100 miles from IMAX cinema. Of course the scale of effects would be not so descent, but great shots of wild Arctic nature, coupled with an amazing voice of Paul McCartney (yes, these were his songs in the film) is unlikely to leave you indifferent to the plight of these incredible sweet wild creatures: white polar bears.

This intriguing movie is based on factual events that occurred in a post war Bosnia in which any thing goes. Rachel Weisz (The Lovely Bones, The Brothers Bloom) stars as Kathryn Bolkovac, an American officer of the law who decides to help out by becoming a peacemaker in a war torn Bosnia. What she discovers is a underground world of corruption and a blossoming sex trade involving children and adults. Live humans are valuable and are sold to the highest bidders. Plenty of intrigue, corruption, and diplomatic cover-ups linked to the UN and also some (U.S. military) contractors. Bolkovac is put to the ultimate test as she tries to help in the rebuilding of this devastated area and comes up with far bigger problems than she could have imagined.
