The" found footage" genre was used almost to death in the period of 2005-2012. However, Scott Derrickson's Sinister is something bigger than regular "found footage scary movie". In Sinister, where Derrickson's talent is multiplied on Ethan Hawke's play, the old fashion draggy movie blossoms with new fruitful flowers conceiving the new levels of horror film's quality. The story begins, when the main protagonist, Ellison finds a footage which was made a long time ago by the previous inhabitants of his new house. As it follows from the footage, four members of the family were hanged on the nearest trees, while fifth one; a little girl has disappeared somewhere and hasn't been found since. As the professional writer, specializing on the scandalous crime stories, he begins his own investigation with the help of local deputy sheriff (James Ransone, who may be familiar to you as Officer Thomas Prudenti in The Son of No One). As they excavate new facts and stories about this mysterious murder they find similar cases where entire families was killed besides the little girls which are still missing. Step by step Ellison immerses deep into the horror of these mysterious deaths becoming increasingly unsettled mentally, as the rest of his family show the sings of serious emotional distress. His wife Tracy (Juliet Rylance, who played in Adam Shaw) and 12-year-old Trevor (Michael Hall D'Addario who played in People Like Us) hear strange frightening voices that are coming out from the attic where the scary footage was found.

Hollow Man is a 2000 science fiction horror film directed by Paul Verhoeven. The story is centered around a group of scientists who have developed a serum that can make a person invisible. The lead character, Sebastian Caine, played by Kevin Bacon, is the first to test the serum on himself. Initially, the experiment is a success, but as time passes, Caine starts to experience side effects, including losing his ability to become visible again. His descent into madness causes him to become violent and obsessed with power, leading to a series of terrifying events.

Ving Rhames (Bringing Out the Dead, Pulp Fiction) plays Deputy Fallon, a man with prosthetic legs who lost them in Piranha 3D. Christopher Lloyd (Back To the Future Trilogy) is Mr. Goodwin, Danielle Panabaker (Mr. Brooks, The Crazies) is the water park's step daughter, Maddy, working at the Big Wet during the summer. David Hasselhoff and Gary Busey have cameo roles in Piranha 3DD.

With the old inn about to close its door for the final time Luke and Claire are determined to prove the place is haunted. So they go ghost hunting but some disturbing events scare them to the bones. The terrifying results of their investigation come to life in the form of past guests returning for a final stay. Written and directed by Ti West, highly respected for his work on The House of the Devil and Trigger Man, also acting in several of his movies. "It Chapter Two" is a 2019 supernatural horror film directed by Andy Muschietti. Serving as a sequel to the 2017 film "It," it is based on the second half of Stephen King's novel of the same name.
