War of the Worlds is a movie that was released in 2005, directed by Steven Spielberg, and starring Tom Cruise. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by H.G. Wells and follows the story of Ray Ferrier, a dockworker who is trying to protect his children from an alien invasion. The movie takes place in modern-day New Jersey, and the aliens have come to Earth in massive tripods, causing destruction and chaos wherever they go.

Centurion movie plot is set in 117 AD and tells a story of the only person who survived the Picts raid on the Roman fortress. The main character, Quintus Diaz with the legendary Ninth Legion, he goes north to wipe out the Picts and kill their leader Gorlacon. When the legion of stepping on the hostile territory and General Virilus is captured, Quintus has to save his small troop to escape persecution at the Pictish tribe on the unfriendly land and safely reach the Roman frontier. "Centurion" tells all the same story as most movies of that kind, but the author proves the theory is no longer on the characters, but once the viewer. Throughout the half hour you are watching something like a gladiatorial carnage, where there is no division into "good" and "bad". Suddenly you find yourself in the empathy with crazy antagonist blood lusting female but not the "friendly" Romans. It is about banal bloodlust, concealed in the heart of almost every human individual.

Bullet to the Head is the next Sylvester Stallone's attempt to revive nostalgic feelings of steroid-action movies of 80'. Based on Alexis Nolent's graphic novel Du Plomb Dans La Tete (which could be translated from French exactly like "Bullet to the Head" or "Lead In The Head" as per Google Translator's version) movie's script was rewritten for several times (Sylvester Stallone's is one of the co-authors of storyline) until it was accepted by Warner Brothers. The film's cast is well-thought-out too; while Sylvester Stallone plays Jimmy Bobo a New Orleans hitman witnessed murdering of his partners, Sung Kang plays a cop Taylor Kwon, whose partners were killed too. Teamed up with each other in a kind of unnatural but tough alliance they seek vengeance for these deaths and finally discover a powerful MOB group well accreted in corrupted authority bodies of United States of America. If you've ever thought that 66 is the age closer to cemetery than to Hollywood, you have to take a look on Sylvester Stallone's body – he looks even more "in mood" than at the dawn of his fame. As for Sung Kang, you are probably familiar with most of his filmography which includes such well known films like Fast Five and Fast & Furious 4.

The Warrior's Way" challenges: Can you survive the love to get to the action?... Who wouldn't want to see Kate Bosworth playing a bad-girl knife thrower in a ninja movie? After all, late adolescent boys can live on reruns of "Blue Crush" for only so long. In "The Warrior's Way" movie, Dong-gun Jang stars as a ninja assassin—reputedly "the world's greatest swordsman"-- grown weary of his deadly craft. When the assassin turns down an assignment, his warrior clan expresses its displeasure by ordering him killed. Naturally, the swordsman seeks sanctuary in the American badlands, where the locals will hardly notice a Korean newcomer in town. Just as naturally, the newcomer falls in love with the knife-thrower and befriends the town drunk—happens every day in the Dakotas. Naturally, the three of them save the swordsman and their town, and audiences may assume they Ginsu happily ever after. After pre-release screenings of "The Warrior's Way" movie audiences generally agreed with the reviewer who said, "If you can bear the hour of 'love story' and the bad acting that goes with it, you can get to some really fun action scenes. Some awesome effects and fighting will jolt you from much of the boredom." When it's all over, "The Warrior's Way" leaves the average guy wondering, "How much do I really like Kate Bosworth?"

Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day which has got a negligible box office cash, and undergone severe criticism from the media and representatives of the Church, accused of promoting violence and immorality, a few years later acquired a cult status and enjoys the growing number of their fans. Troy Duffy, doomed the audience to agonizingly long waiting, in ten years, gives the world a worthy sequel.

Man of Steel is the next one in a long row of reboots which shook the film industry in 2012-2013. Produced by Christopher Nolan the creator of unparalleled Inception, Man of Steel tells the same story as his 25-years old predecessor but with enormous (even for 2013) budget around 200,000,000 USD. Filmed in Plano, Illinois the movie at the same time uses Chicago and Vancouver as backdrops. The huge budget mostly dictated by enchanting ensemble of the cast and incredible 3D which is reported to be much more sophisticated than everything you could watch before. In case of Man of Steel it's a venture without a risk: as the Superman is known to almost everyone on Earth, and there are three major target audiences that eager to watch it. Henry Cavill as Superman looks very hot, while his parents realistically depicted by Kevin Costner and Diane Lane (Jonathan and Martha Kent – Superman's Earthborn foster parents), Jor-El (a Superman's real father from Krypton) is portrayed by Russell Crowe. The epitome of the do-or-die female reporter, Lois Lane is played by Amy Adams, who may be familiar to you as Anna Brady form Leap Year and Charlene Fleming from The Fighter.
