Superheroes like Spider-Man just don't grow on trees you know! They arrive straight out of the comic books and have some mystical power or other that make them the hero they are. Also few of us know that the same plot was used in Sony Pictures, who was filming White House Down directed by Roland Emmerich in the same time. In this competition of two quite similar films Antoine Fuqua has some advantage expressed in brilliant actors cast. The main hero Mike Banning is played Gerard Butler. You may know him as George in Playing for Keeps or Frosty Hesson in Chasing Mavericks. Another remarkable movie Gerard Butler starred at is Coriolanus. Some of us may remember 300 where Gerard Butler played King Leonidas. As for President Benjamin Asher, Aaron Eckhart (Rabbit Hole, Love Happens, The Dark Knight) secured this role in 2012. Morgan Freeman also stars in the movie as Speaker Trumbull, a man behind the curtain, who took the power when the President was kidnapped.

At the first glance Hit and Run (2012) looks like Knockin' on Heaven's Door (1997) combined with Drive (2011), which is causing some negative expectations, taking into consideration the fact of how many times Knockin' on Heaven's Door was cloned, mostly in disastrous manner. But, it only at the first look, the second one will be stopped in state of total quandary by ill-fitting Bradley Cooper dreads. Bradley is hardly recognizable in Hit and Run, but it's still him playing the partner of former motorcyclist Charlie Bronson with a kind of "shady" past. The movie plot is based on quite untwisted screenplay written by Dax Shepard (who has directed film, too, and played the main protagonist), the story about mad driver who risked everything busting Witness Protection Program, for the sake of one single aim: to bring his beautiful fiancée to Los Angeles where she gets her dream job. If you are about to say something like: "what a stupid idea: to risk your life for girlfriend job?" you better just stop, take a deep breath and rethink it, maybe you'll do the same if gorgeous Kristen Bell was your girlfriend. Changed your mind, duh? Oh, yes, the Kristen and Bradley duo will definitely make you wishing to watch this movie. But let's go back to the plot: while driving to LA, the couple will encounter lots of awkward adventurous including: ex-gang mobs chasing Charlie, his partner seeking buried treasures from criminal past, and, of course cops sitting on their tails.

Some futuristic story ideas seem to paint a rather bleak picture of how life may be later on and The Hunger Games is right up there with the premise that we could hold lotteries each year to select competitors from youngsters. Seems that North America has become a divided country and now there is only the Capitol which is broken down into 12 districts. Now called Panem, the former United States of America makes many crucial decisions by way of an annual fight to the death. There will be two from each of the 12 districts so the total of 24 participants must fight each other to the death and the citizens find this required viewing on live television!hen 16 year old Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence from Medium, The Bill Engvall Show) volunteers to take her younger sisters place, she and Peeta Mellark, who is her counterpart find they are up against far bigger and stronger competitors who have been trained for this type of battle all of their lives. Peeta is played by Josh Hutcherson (RV, The Kids Are All Right). Look for Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, and Donald Sutherland also in The Hunger Games.

Look for the 2011 version of the Alexandre Dumas literary classic on film, and this time it has been filmed in thrilling 3D. An action packed flick starring Logan Lerman (3:10 to Yuma) as D'Artagnan, Matthew Macfadyen (Robin Hood) as Athos, Luke Evans (Clash of the Titans) portraying Aramis, and Ray Stevenson (The Book of Eli) as Porthos take on the ultimate rogue film roles. This time around the three legendary Musketeers are seen as down on their luck and in need of D'Artagnon's leadership and influence. A beautiful female double agent, along with her evil employer, are attempting to seize the French throne while inciting war in Europe so the Musketeers must act quickly to prevent the mayhem.Milla Jovovich (Resident Evil: Afterlife) portrays Milady de Winter and Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest) as the Duke of Buckingham are the villains who would love to take over Europe and the rest of the world as well.
