Released in 2012, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days covers the events depicted in third and fourth books of Jeff Kinney: The Last Straw and Dog Days. The last one "realistic fiction" novel got more attention from Wallace Wolodarsky who wrote a screenplay for the movie, and this fact is noticeably reflected in the film's plot. The storyline begins with Greg Heffley and Rowley Jefferson are going to the country club for their summer vacations where due to the unfortunate sequence of developments both of them got into the troubles. Bleak outlook of spending the summer in vain efforts to make some money is rising at the horizon with more and more of clarity. That makes the movie very similar to previous two: Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2010) and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules (2011) – the hopeless children are showcased as losers trying to do their best. Nevertheless, the play of the cast is outstanding as usual and while watching this sequel you distinctively understand why these seven actor and actress (Zachary Gordon, Karan Brar, Robert Capron, Laine MacNeil, Connor & Owen Fielding and Dalila Bela were nominated the Young Artist Award and some of them ( we mean Laine MacNeil) even won it. By the way, Zachary Gordon's career is moving quite fast, which is led him to the lead role in the 2012 movie Norm of the North, where he plays main protagonist, Norm.

Hangover immediately knocks down by the hurricane humor. Is not always this sense of humor is bontone, but almost always successful. Hangover is a movie with a very clever composition and structure: there are amazing flash backing vocals, and the action that evolves backwards-ahead, there are a lot of plot quirks that did not tangle, but for sure amaze you. From the standpoint of the movie formal construction of the picture it's just brilliant. There is a very clear role differentiation: each character is an expression of a prejudice, a walking stereotype, which manifests itself in different situations so predictable and therefore all the film looks like parody.

When Todd Phillips filmed his first The Hangover in 2009, he could hardly imagine that this movie will bring almost 500 millions USD box office. After the tremendous success of the first movie, the sequel deemed as something inevitable. The Hangover Part II wasn't a bad movie; however it has earned for Warner Bros. Pictures slightly less cash then the previous one. Although the rumors about futility of The Hangover Part III were in the air, Todd Phillips has decided to film the third movie in rarely record time – less than two years. The pressure of doubtfulness of the success of The Hangover Part III was too strong to replicate the plot of the first two movies. The audience demands something greater: more action, more entangled plot, more powerful actors' play. The last thing was not in scarcity: since the first The Hangover Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha have improved their actors skills in such smash movies like Dark Horse, The Rebound, The Campaign, The Muppets, It's Kind of a Funny Story, Hit and Run, Limitless, Valentine's Day, Silver Linings Playbook etc. As for the action-packed scenes and entangled plot, the trailer ensures us that everything is OK with these ingredients as well.

The Greenberg movie's main protagonist escapes from a nervous breakdown and declaratively "temporarily no busy". From this point of view he does nothing and almost nothing happens in the movie. Director, probably even would not mind to sit in front of Greenberg on the edge of the pool all the half and one hour, but the damned human conventions make both occasionally move. Stiller clearly relishes the role: nature has limited its role, but here with the usual cosmetic changes Stiller's character changed radically. Gestures, facial expressions, manner of speech - the same, but they did not remain a single gram of charm, fixated on their tedious frustrations Greenberg is the last person with whom you want to be in the same room.

Filmed in 2011 during Glee hiatus; premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2012 then released worldwide in January 2013, Struck by Lightning is the second film produced by the Glee idol, Chris Colfer after his directorial debut The Little Leftover Witch made under the contract with Disney. Chris has written a screenplay for Struck by Lightning and played the leading role. The movie revolves around the flashbacks of main character, Carson Phillips who was stricken by the deathly lightning bolt. Before he dies he experiences the colorful memories about the last years of his life. He ran a literary magazine at Clover High School and in order to get a material constantly blackmailed his classmates – in most cases very successfully. Besides the genuine Chris Colfer's play we enjoy the performances of Sarah Hyland (April Apocalypse, Conception, Gay Dude) and Christina Hendricks (Seconds of Pleasure, How to Catch a Monster, Ginger & Rosa) accompanied by spontaneous Bachelorette star Rebel Wilson (Pitch Perfect, Pain & Gain, What to Expect When You're Expecting). Carson's parents are portrayed by Allison Janney (Lucky Them, Bad Words, Trust Me) and Dermot Mulroney (Space Warriors, Jobs, Stoker).
