The Ghost Writer, first of all, develops a limitless topic: collision of everyman with an absolute evil. Many disappointed that the role of the evil this time are the only supreme bodies of state power. But this is only further underscores the relationship with Polanski's Hitchcock - the sole master of the thriller, with whom he was not insulting to compare. The great director defiantly played by the old rules and it remains great. Suspense there is literally out of nothing: the car alarm, the GPS-navigator, the plasma TV. Branded pathology carefully to match the genre, hidden under licked picture, pops up offensively rare, but spectacular. McGregor is great the actor, but more recently used as a muddled, suddenly performs his best role here, in The Ghost Writer movie. His nameless hero of their own accord entered the forbidden territory, running the film with such a childlike curiosity, this carefree passion in his eyes does not go out even when the first blood was shed. And just guessing the last riddle, he will be satisfied, then he will go out of frame, to finally become his best work.
