"From Up on Poppy Hill" is a 2011 Japanese animated drama film directed by Goro Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. The film is set in 1963 Yokohama, Japan, and tells the story of two high school students, Umi and Shun, who fall in love while trying to save their school's clubhouse from demolition. As they work together to preserve the clubhouse, they uncover a secret from their shared past that threatens to tear them apart.

Chris Cooper (The Bourne Identity) has plans to drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the shrine where Muppet lovers come to worship. Only a huge amount of money raised will save the theater. Ten Million dollars must be gathered soon and dedicated fans will help by putting on a huge Muppet Telethon. They must find Kermit the Frog, Animal, Miss Piggy, and Gonzo to help bring in the big bucks and save their favorite place once they can be reunited. But the original Muppets went their separate ways to bigger and better careers and must first be found.oices include Jason Segal (I Love You, Man) as Gary, the Muppets biggest fan, Amy Adams (Drop Dead Gorgeous) is Mary, friend of Gary. Steve Whitmire does the voices of Kermit, Statler, and Beaker. Animal, Miss Piggy, and Fozzie Bear owe their voices to the talented Eric Jacobson. Listen for many familiar sounding voices like Whoopie Goldberg, Judd Hirsch, and Alan Arkin.

Those adorable though sometimes ornery Chipmunks, Alvin, Theodore, and Simon return to the big screen just in time for a Christmas romp that takes them to a tropical island. The paradise they encounter is accidental when they wind up going overboard while on a cruise ship. Seems the ever busy chipmunks were playing around while on board and before they knew what happened, they found themselves deserted on an island. But the island turns out to be anything but deserted! Directed by Mike Mitchell (Shrek Forever After, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo) and the writers Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger put together an uproariously funny animated flick here that also stars the voices of Justin Long gives the voice of Alvin in this and several other Chipmunk movies plus Going The Distance as an actor), Jesse McCartney in a repeat role as the voice of Theodore (also as an actor in TV series Greek and Young Justice). Simon comes to life with the voice of Matthew Gray Gubler (he again gave voice to other Chipmunk movies plus TV series Criminal Minds as an actor). As always, these are fun filled romps that always entertain kids of all ages!

The Pirates! Band of Misfits is yet another animated film with 3-D action and plenty of familiar voices from top notch actors that the kids will love. Around Christmas is always a favorite time of year for family oriented films and this year there are a lot of them! In "The Pirates" we see the Pirate Captain with a mission in mind to out do their rivals who are Black Bellamy and also Cutlass Liz. They are in the competition for an award for Pirate of the Year. Along the way the Captain hand crew travel from the shore on Blood Island deep into the fog bound streets of old Victorian London.his is stop motion buy still has plenty of computer graphics that do a lot for the visual elements such as rolling sea and spectacular scenery. The CG technology allows for more visual and expanded scenery plus adding that old wooden boat that could not possibly actually float in real time. But it's fun!oices include Hugh Grant as Pirate Captain, Cutlass Liza is voiced by Salma Hayek, Jeremy Piven is the voice of Black Bellamy, and as Queen Victoria we hear Imelda Staunton. All come together to create a family fun movie for the holidays!

Ralf is a lonesome antagonist from arcade video game Fix-It Felix Jr. He is nine-foot-tall, 643-pound anti-hero whose goal is to crash everything that main protagonist Fix-It Felix fixes. Ralf is representing the "Evil Forces" for almost 30 years and tired to be just a number two in the shadow of Fix-It Felix success. In his desperation, Ralph decides to break up with the arcade and escapes thru the power cord out to the world of other video games where he hopes to prove himself as a true hero. His first stop is first person shooter Hero's Duty, where he meets cold-blooded and tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun fighting with Cy-Bugs invading her planet. After Ralph helps Calhoun to get rid of the alien invasion he finds himself in the thick of things boiling in racing video game Sugar Rush, where encounters Vanellope von Schweetz facing serious troubles and the only person to help her is Ralph. Initially Disney was planning to name the movie Joe Jump or Reboot Ralph, but at the time when whole conception was assembled, the 3D animated story was decided to rename in Wreck-it-Ralf as the same name arcade game. Wreck-it-Ralf is full of gimmicks, spoofs, allusions and allegories – you will be pleased to meet here the orange colored little ghost from Packman, a Zombie and lots of others funny villains from 30 years old videogames. You should add here the astonishingly matching voices of John C. Reilly, Jane Lynch, Sarah Silverman in perfect combination with soundtracks of Flo Rida (remember 'Good Feeling'?) and all what you get is another Disney's unquestionable success.

In the Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore movie, cute dogs and cats do not just appear in all its beauty and immediacy. They are talking, some wear costumes or special clothing, treated with tricky mechanisms perform breathtaking tricks and pretending all sorts of faces thanks to the modern special effects. But these tricks are not limited by the puprpose to entertain you. This movie is not only a comedy, but action and adventure with chases, dizzying flights, dynamic fights, all represented in 3D. Entertaining, funny and dynamic Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is not burdened with a twisted plot or strict moralizing and weighty timing. But it portrays funny characters and situations, charming animals, exciting adventures and there is not a single joke on a sexual topic: just an ideal movie to watch with whole family.
