A dream team within a one movie - Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin -impress with the incredible chemistry between members of this trio. Stand Up Guys director Fisher Stevens climbed into the territory of crime-comedy thrillers about gangsters mocking gangsters. Nonetheless Stand Up Guys is not a spoof of Pulp-Fiction-like movies, it has its own tint, and there is the place for seriousness too. The story begins when Val (impersonated by Al Pacino, a well-known American author gained his fame by his memorable roles in The Devil's Advocate, Heat, Scent of a Woman, The Godfather, Scarface) is being released from "the big house" after serving 28-years sentence. His mate, Doc (played by Christopher Walken, previously starred in A Late Quartet, Seven Psychopaths, Balls of Fury and Man of the Year) is eager to meet him at the walls of the penitentiary. Doc has two reasons for cheery embraces for his old pal. Doc was given a task to kill Vic. The assignment was made by the local kingpin Claphands (played by Mark Margolis: Beneath, Noah, The Courier, Black Swan), who is dreaming about revenge for his son's accidental death accusing Vic for this. Nevertheless, Vic is aware about Doc assignment, and first thing buddies want do to is to visit the local cathouse ( it's a second reason), where the mess begins: alcohol, drugs and Viagra overdose ignites the chain of events buddies can't control.

Thunderstruck is a 2012 American family comedy film directed by John Whitesell. The film tells the story of a high school student named Brian who loves basketball but is not very good at it. Think of Prom as High School Musical with heavy doses of teen-aged angst. Summarizing Prom in frighteningly reductive terms, Disney says, "A group of teenagers get ready for their high school prom," and the producers list it simultaneously as "comedy" and "drama." If you read only that description, you easily could conclude Prom dramatizes debutantes' struggles with mascara and up-dos. To her everlasting credit, Aimee Teegarden, veteran of heavy high school drama in "Friday Night Lights," goes a long way toward redeeming Prom from its awkward identity crisis. With a properly delicate and ironic touch, Ms. Teegarden effectively captures every sophisticated senior's inchoate recognition that "valedictory" means farewell and "commencement" is a synonym for "see ya." "Nova, Ms. Teegarden's allegorically named character, recognizes her pet antagonist probably is the ideal prom date, heavy on the fun factor and devoted to keeping rented tuxedos and poofy dresses in perspective. The unlikely pair contrasts sharply with Mei and Tyler, swept-away sweethearts, who wrestle with conscience and logistics as they work to wring every last micro-gram of meaning and romance from "the biggest night of their lives.""Set for release the last weekend of April, 2011, Prom may or may not set the tone for the Class of 2011's dining and dancing extravaganzas, but it surely will provide invaluable fashion and etiquette tips.

It's the 80's in Los Angeles and life seems good. Plenty of cocaine and cash keep the younger set in a party mood and Take Me Home Tonight is what everybody seems to want. Matt Franklin (Topher Grace), a grad from MIT, decides his high paying job is not enough to satisfy and instead takes a job working in a video store as a clerk. Now his parents think he has "flipped out" for sure. He wants his dream girl, Teresa (Tori Frederking) to notice him and things take on a decidedly explosive twist in one night of excessive festivity at a Labor Day party weekend. Matt's best friend, Barry, has been fired and Wendy, his sister, has plans to marry a boring boyfriend named Kyle but all this only makes his own personal crisis seem larger since his beloved Teresa is back in his sights. It all comes to a head when too many excesses prove to have explosive results. Depicting heavy drug use, though common in the 80's, nearly kept Take Me Home Tonight from completion with moral standards of today but Brian Grazer and Ron Howard (Imagine Entertainment) saved the day and many of the cut scenes.

It's Kind of a Funny Story is about Craig (Keir Gilchrist), a 16 year old that is clinically depressed. After getting completely stressed out, he voluntarily checks himself into a psychiatric facility, but once he gets there he realizes there is no youth wing. If he wants to stay he must be amongst the adults. However, once there he is befriended by another patient Bobby (Zach Galifianakis), who is more like a mentor to Craig. It is then that he starts to learn how to deal with life's many pressures that he will face throughout his time. It's Kind of a Funny Story is a teen drama that delivers a good story.
