Sheriff Country is a CBS crime drama and the second spinoff of the hit firefighting series Fire Country, extending that show's Northern California universe into the world of small-town law enforcement. Grown from the world created by Fire Country's Tony Phelan and Joan Rater, it gives one of the parent show's most popular characters her own series and center stage.
Morena Baccarin stars as Mickey Fox, the formidable sheriff of fictional Edgewater and the surrounding rural county, a woman who polices a close-knit community where everyone knows everyone and old loyalties constantly complicate the law. The series follows Mickey as she juggles the demands of the badge with a tangled personal life, including a father fresh out of prison and a daughter finding her own way, all while confronting crimes that cut close to home in a region where justice is rarely simple.
Balancing procedural cases with the heavy serialized family drama that made Fire Country a broadcast hit, the show leans on Baccarin's commanding presence to anchor its blend of rural atmosphere and emotional stakes. Premiering in the fall of 2025 and quickly established as part of CBS's expanding Fire Country franchise, Sheriff Country streams on Paramount+.

Undoubtfully, cinematography has been my passion since a very young age. Even now, watching a new movie or series always prompts me to ask a lot of questions to the author. Thus, every little essay about a title is definitely not a spoiler, but rather an attempt to explore the idea.
