International Auto Show

PINKS All Out TV show follows the best drag racers in the country bring their game to the track in search of glory and their share of $18,000 in cash and prizes in PINKS All Out. Host Rich Christensen hosts the all-day shootout that pits egos and cars against one another on the quarter mile. It's pedal-to-the-metal action from the start line until the last car crosses the finish line. Every driver thinks they've got the stuff it takes to win, but only the top 16 make it to the finals where it's heads-up racing with no negotiations and no tomorrows.

On "Test Drive," motorheads and speed demons of all descriptions put the world's most buzzworthy cars through their paces. Why waste time cruising from one auto dealer to the next when some celebrity or NASCAR driver will test-drive all your favourite cars on television? You can go zero to 190 in your bathrobe, and you don't even need proof of insurance. Every week, "Test Drive" takes a test-worthy vehicle out onto the proving grounds, puts the pedal to the metal, and shows what happens. In recent episodes, "Test Drive" aggressively has challenged auto makers' and advertisers' claims about the performance characteristics of new products from General Motors: Is the new and improved Corvette as sporty and buffed-up as it seems? Does the new Cadillac live-up to its billing as the world's fastest production sedan and remain true to its Cadillac heritage. Is "Buick turbo" an oxymoron after all? By no means biased toward any nation's wheeled goods, "Test Drive" also has challenged the notions of "naughty Volvo" and "BMW high-performance diesel." Best of all, the television guys neatly outfitted in gloves, glasses, and fireproof suits, push, test, and punish the glitzy gas-gulping machines more than you ever could with the wife and kids in the back seat.

Every week on "SuperCars Exposed" TV show Tanner Foust and Louise Brady take eager viewers into the turbo-charged, jaw-droppingly pricey world of exotic cars. "SuperCars Exposed" TV series make it clear, however, how belittling and insulting it is to call these works of art "cars" or "automobiles." The names--Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis"”are eponyms for masterworks of metal and internal combustion. Clearly, it is good to be Tanner Foust and Louise Brady. The list of "SuperCars Exposed" episodes reads like a list of adolescent boys' fantasies: Tanner Foust pilots a Lamborghini Gallardo down the California coastline; then, Tanner Foust puts the petal to the metal in an Audi R8, flying over the Alps and then gives drifting lessons as he pushes a Ferrari 599 GTB down the Autobahn. Taking time out from driving for a little serious wrenching, Tanner Foust devotes some time to exposing the SuperCars, learning how to tune the newest top-of-the-line Porsches. Then, he drives an Aston Martin around Nurburgring. Finally, Louise Brady gets to do something besides narrate and comment, taking a turn behind the wheel of Mercedes-Benz performance cars.

Does your vehicular conveyance taste run to the exotic sports models or the solid and staid sedans? Whatever the choice you can find it on the Edmunds Inside Line being tested and run through its paces to determine whether it's a good buy or just another gas guzzling gizmo to be parked in the garage. Ride along as they test drive the Murano Cross Cabriolet from Nissan for 2011. It's an all wheel drive convertible that has plenty of curb appeal. Or perhaps you are interested in a staid and solid Prius V from Toyota which excels in gas mileage and shows how great a hybrid vehicle can be. Improvements in handling plus plenty of cargo space combine to make it a top buy. Electric cars have finally become desirable due to great styling and far better mileage from better batteries and charging systems. Imagine the silent yet powerful ride while using zero gasoline! Look for comprehensive comparison tests on Edmunds Inside Line as well. An example is the heated competition between the Ford Mustang and the Chevrolet Camaro. These are two of the most popular cars today and each can claim its own bragging rights. Exciting television.
