The CBS lineup on Monday nights is HOT! Putting on a new television sit-com can be an "iffy" prospect and many have failed due to the competition involved. But 2 Broke Girls seems to have all the right stuff! It has talent and chemistry and it has timing. Timing involves where it premieres which is right after Two and a Half Men (now starring Aston Kutcher instead of the controversial Charlie Sheen), then moving into its regular slot an hour earlier following How I Met Your Mother. The chemistry involves a stellar cast and great writing, making 2 Broke Girls a refreshing alternative to comedy on our TVs. The talent comes in the form of some new refreshing faces like Kat Dennings (The Forty Year Old Virgin, Charlie Bartlett) as Max Black, the gal from a working class, perpetually poor family. She knows her way around however, and hopes to fulfill her dreams. Beth Behrs (Serial Buddies, Size Zero Heroes) is the wealthy Caroline who learns her family is broke due to her father being caught using a Ponzi scheme and faces the prospect of going away to prison. She is "book smart" while Max is the one who has "street smarts". Together they might succeed. Life as a waitress is stressful and they must deal with the cook who likes to sexually harass them and a boss who more resembles a Kung Fu competitor than a Brooklyn diner owner. From the folks who brought us Sex in the City how can it go wrong?

With much humor derived from some cast members of Saturday Night Live and with approval from Lorne Michaels himself, Portlandia was born. The name Portlandia refers to a sculpture with that title found over the entrance doors of the Portland Building which is situated in downtown Portland on Fifth Avenue. The show has the fast paced comedy touch that SNL is well noted for and cast members Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein help keep it moving along. With Lorne Michaels as executive producer and creative writing from Fred Armisen, Jonathan Krisel, and Carrie Brownstein the show appears to have a bright future. We see how popular restaurants along the famous Hawthorne District in Portland handle irate dinner guests when they leave rather nasty reviews on a website titled Yelp! Another episode finds how badly a one man performance can actually be at the Hollywood Theatre, a local historic building in northeast Portland. If it happens in or around Portland it might end up on the show in some fashion, most likely comedic in tone. Portlandia currently runs on the IFC (Independent Film Channel).

It seems like it was a wise business decision for FX to pick up Charlie Sean, who was recently fired from Two and a Half Man and put him in to a new environment of three-camera heavy-laugh-tracked sitcom about a former baseball player, Charlie Goodson, struggling to find a balance in his new life trough the anger management therapy courses. So, Charlie Sean's comeback to TV called Anger Management is new is a new promising round of career and, in case of success, a high-ROI business move for FX "“ mostly because of low-level costs of creation of such a sitcom. The plot of Anger Management is simple, and reminds us Californication: Charlie Goodson is divorced middle-age man who tries to keep formally good relationships with his ex-wife Jennifer (Shawnee Smith who may be familiar to you as Amanda from Saw franchise) and their OSD issues suffering daughter Sam (Awake TV show starlet Daniela Bobadilla) while being in Friends-With-Benefits-like sexual relations with his therapist Kate (Selma Blair, some people may know her as Abigail from released in 2012 Columbus Circle and Mary from the same year Replicas). Despite the bold sexual background of Anger Management, this TV show is only on FX without TV-MA rating. Who would have thought that Charlie Sean's new series will be such a content-safe?

"Everybody Hates Chris" is an American television sitcom that aired from 2005 to 2009. The show is based on the life of comedian Chris Rock, who serves as the show's narrator. The series follows a young Chris as he navigates his way through adolescence in Brooklyn during the 1980s.

Episode by episode, loyal viewers of "How I Met Your Mother" first forget and then cease caring that the stories supposedly are told as flashbacks from some uncertain future when a couple of the characters actually have children. Ted, ostensibly the main character, described by the pitchmen as "architect and eternal romantic, feels the urgency of finding the same true love his best friend Marshall has found with his wife Lily. Marshall is a little dorky, Lily is lovably flaky, and Robin"”Ted's premier love interest"”is gorgeous but better left among the cell numbers of "just friends." Oddball character Barney is the comic centerpiece of the show. Neil Patrick Harris plays Barney"”need anyone say more? Barney, as fiercely opinionated as he is devoted to designer suits for all occasions, specializes in impromptu development of foolproof schemes for meeting and making conquest of women. "How I Met Your Mother" contributes significantly to CBS's domination of Monday night tube, because approximately twenty million viewers agree with the Yahoo! reviewer who wrote, "Good writing and quirky characters played by likeable actors, this one consistently entertains me. NPH has created a classic character in Barney. And with the fabulous Alyson Hannigan on board *sighs*, I just can't stop watching."

With a controversial plot and an exceptionally talented cast of young actors, "SKINS" is a top quality television program to watch and be entertained by. Residing in Bristol in South West England we observe a group of teenagers as they explore modern issues including mental illness, dysfunctional family life, death, drugs, sexual identity crisis, and eating disorders. The amateur actors along with some youthful writers pull together a thoroughly enjoyable program that is often hard hitting and relevant to everyday life. Season one finds Nicholas Hoult (Tony Stonem) to be a popular, intelligent boy. An attractive young man, he finds it easy to manipulate those around him into doing what he wishes and this makes him entertaining just to see what he can get away with next. He has a best friend Mike Bailey (Sid Jenkins), who is entirely opposite him personality wise. Tony also has a girl friend that gets upset with him and his self centered ways but can't seem to stay angry with him. Another young girl has an eating disorder she hides and parents with a new baby that seems to take over her parent's attention completely. Thoroughly entertaining story and music make SKINS a winner.
