ABC Nightline and Ted Kopple were synonymous from the 1970's till 2005. Now the late night news program has 3 personalities to replace the famous Kopple. Bill Weir and Cynthia McFadden host the show live from New York and are joined by the third anchor, Terry Moran out of Washington DC. The variety of topics discussed in each program keeps investigation shallow and to the point as well as appealing to a broader based of viewers to the program. In the Kopple years, the program would normally focus on a single issue in order to completely exhaust the topic. The new ABC Nightline has a broader scope that allows more people to become interested and informed.
