Could you imagine that Oz: The Great and Powerful, which is loosely based in L. Frank Baum's 1900 novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz was planned to be filmed by Disney since 1937? The rights for this movie was sold and resold for many times before, finally, Walt Disney Production acquired them and signed a contract with Sam Raimi to direct the film. Disney's series of decisions to reduce the filming costs had lead to unsuccessful negotiations with Robert Downey, Jr. and Johnny Depp for the leading role of Oscar Diggs/Oz, till, finally, James Franco was chosen for the role. You may remember him as Will Rodman form Rise of the Planet of the Apes. As the movie is the prequel for the core story The Wizard of Oz, there are no lovely Dorothy Gale, instead we have three witches. The Wicked Witch of the West, Theodora is portrayed by Mila Kunis which recently has had leading roles in Hell & Back and Friends with Benefits). Evanora The Wicked Witch of the East and the Ruler of the Munchkin Country is played by Rachel Weisz (The Bourne Legacy, To the Wonder); she inferiors in power of magic with Glinda the Good Witch of the South which is most powerful sorceress of Oz and is the ruler of the Quadling Country. In Disney's version of Oz: The Great and Powerful, Glinda is portrayed by Michelle Williams, which was quite smart decision, taking in consideration the amazing performance of Michelle Williams in My Week with Marilyn as Marilyn Monroe.

In Legion movie Scott Stewart started with the Terminator's intro to put action in classic place, a roadside cafe, surrounded with hordes of vile creatures, and finished with the battle of clubs and iron wings. This could be invented only by a person for whom the entertainment is a major part of any movie. Scott Stewart, who created the visual effects for "Pirates of the Caribbean", "Iron Man" and dozens of famous films, has performed the task perfectly well. The only question arise, is it normal when a movie where most of humanity dies, and survivals are continuously referring to the Bible?

Although this is a sequel to 2007's Ghost Rider, this time around it is filmed in 3D for an even more visually exciting effect and brings back Nicholas Cage as the Ghost Rider Johnny Blaze. Now we see that Blaze has turned into a tormented soul in self imposed exile who considers his powers to be a curse. Moreau, a monk who represents the order of Michael (a warrior angel) enlists Johnny Blaze to become protector for a mother and her son who are pursued by Roarke Carrigan, a figure who has his own supernatural abilities so he can compete with Ghost Rider.s the Devil himself attempts to take on human form through Roarke by turning him into Blackout, they undergo the classic good versus evil and the 3D effects are amazing to watch! Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance finds Johnny Blaze hiding away in eastern Europe and his peaceful existence becomes disrupted because the Devil never rests. This entertaining film stars Nicholas Cage (National Treasure, Leaving Las Vegas) as Johnny Blaze, Johnny Whitworth (3:10 To Yuma, Gamer) is Blackout/Roarke Carrigan, and the Devil is portrayed by Ciarán Hinds from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.

Zoe Saldana just may be the most likely girl to turn into an assassin or murderer for hire around today. She has starred in some action packed movies recently (Star Trek 2, The Losers, Avatar) and seems more than capable of handling herself in situations many women could not even attempt. But she also had to be saddened by the murder of her parents and make her character sympathetic so the audience can feel her pain and back her decisions.e tend to love a "get even" movie and this one begins with Zoe Saldana's character witnessing the vicious murders of both her parents in Bogota, Columbia. Years later as an adult she still remembers and plans to seek revenge for her parents death so while she has a day job working for her uncle she is also in training to become a vigilante murderer. Tracking the murderers down, she gets closer and closer until the surprise ending. Directed by Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3) and written by Luc Besson (Arthur 3: The War of the Two Worlds).

The classic story of Snow White always had a darker side, lurking in the shadows. This theatrical release, scheduled for mid 2012, will not be one for the very young. Nor is it the traditional story of beauty versus evil. This time around it's going to be a bumpy ride for the beautiful young woman as she finds herself hunted by a Huntsman who will die if he doesn't find and kill Snow White. There is also the traditional evil queen who must eat the heart of Snow White in order to become immortal. The fight is on for who is the fairest of them all!hris Hemsworth (Thor, 2009's Star Trek) is the Huntsman who must find Snow White to save his own life. Kristen Stewart won the highly coveted role of Snow White. She has been recently seen in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and Eclipse.
